Irish King 0 Posted August 19, 2013 Hi I was just wondering if it is legal to put a chainsaw grip on a Mossberg 500 in NJ? I have attached a picture of what I am talking about.

10X 3,327 Posted August 19, 2013 That's an ergonomic and aesthetic disaster of the highest order... But I support your right to have one if you want. :-) (I can't comment on the legality in NJ)

But in America we have that choice!
Teky0101 6 Posted August 19, 2013 I think this shotgun was designed as a breacher so in that it makes sense. I kind of like it as well! LOL!
BlueLineFish 615 Posted August 19, 2013 Yeah. Its a breaching shotgun but it sure is ugly
bhunted 887 Posted August 19, 2013 It's legal... They had them locally here in stock for awhile. But yeesh, not worth it. Sent from John's iPad 2 via Tapatalk HD Typos courtesy Apple...
sosa9999 5 Posted August 19, 2013 I saw someone shooting it at shoreshot "they had the owners permission" other wise they won't let you. The shot it 3x and only hit the target once. It also scared everyone in there, he didnt have good control over it.
Vlad G 345 Posted August 19, 2013 I think it is a dumb idea, but whenever I see it I think it makes Brian Miller act like Binky from the Dodge Caliber commercial:
njJoniGuy 2,133 Posted August 19, 2013 I'm surprised our dumbasses legislators in Trenton have not been convinced that possession of it indicates 'Intent to Break and Enter' and made it an Illegal Evil Feature.
NJKen 23 Posted August 23, 2013 Dont see a problem, will go through alot of shells to bring the tree down, neighbors might complain. Not as many shells as you think. My brotherinlaw and I have been known to prune trees on our range with a shotgun. I think that chainsaw grip may be the best thing for a pistol grip shotgun to keep some control over it. As for me, I am not a fan of pistol grip shotguns in the first place. I suppose that a lot of people must like them since they are making the handle and the shotgun still every day. JT Custom Guns 959 Posted August 23, 2013 lets cut to the chase - Yes it is legal in NJ.
carguy3j 0 Posted August 23, 2013 What is the legal difference, if any, between a shotgun with a pistol grip, and a rifle that is chambered to fire shotgun shells?
Clintoon Eastwood 2 Posted August 23, 2013 Get it already then add the birds head grip = bad a$$
High Exposure 5,680 Posted August 23, 2013 Being an instructor for ballistic breaching i can tell you that that thing is an abortion of the highest order and is relatively useless for breaching. On the plus side, I think that there was a recent law change that will allow you to join the military and serve proudly even if you own one or think it looks cool.
