.50 muzzel loader bullets banned?

Recommended Posts

The "Cabals" (Cabelas?) rep is talking out of their posterior.

There is no such ban in effect.   There have been bills that have passed committee both recently and in years past that would ban .50 cal and/or muzzleloaders, but none were signed into law.  The most recent one was vetoed by Governor Christie.

Two different bills, both were vetoed.

One banned .50 caliber and larger firearms (not bullet) over 12,000 ft lbs muzzle energy.  Shotguns and muzzle loaders would not have been banned if it passed.

The other banned internet purchase of ammo.    Both vetoed.   Cabela's is wrong.

Quoting Winston Churchill, who was quoting Mark Twain:

“A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.”

The Sweeney/Weinberg/Cryan lie continues to damage us.

We must rid our state of them and those like them.

Call Cabelas back and ask for a supervisor. Sometimes they get broken ideas in their system and you can get them cleared out, they are actually pretty decent about this.

I tried that. I called about them not shipping primers to NJ. Customer service rep and supervisor would only say "NJ is restricted" they could not give a legitimate reason. I have put them in the same category as CTD. I will not buy anything from them under any circumstances.

I find that very surprising, seeing how they've shipped me stuff just fine.

Have they shipped primers?

I have ordered ammo and accessories from them in the past, no problems.

What really got me was that they can't give an answer as to why they won't ship primers to NJ.

It's no big loss , they don't have anything I can't get elsewhere.

Same here. Called and spoke with a supervisor about the primer issue. I got nowhere.

Think I'll call HQ in Nebraska this week and get myself taken off their mailing list for this PRNJ "restricted" bullshite.

The rest of you should consider doing the same to get our message across.

Vote with your wallets.
