My first "budget" AR build... Actually fired!

Recommended Posts

My first "budget AR build... Actually fired and didn't blow up on my face.  I'll have to say thanks to all the build related posts and this entire NJGF community with all the good topics.  I say "budget" because I managed to spend less than $700 to make it happen.  And I can officially say it's so easy to build, its scary!

Awesome day to be out with some good friends at Range14 today.

Take care folks!

Very nice indeed.

By any chance could you give us a brief description or list of the parts you used?  I am currently in the process of doing my first build and quite honestly love the looks of your gun!

I kept it simple.

Spikes lower from (MonmouthArms:remixer)

PSA Lower parts kit

Ace skeleton stock

Re-used my mp15 sport's buffer tube & spring

Upper receiver, dust cover w/ejection kit, 16" barrel, 12" free float quad rail, gas block, gas tube, brake, bipod (Ebay)

PSA bolt carrier group w/charging handle

Vortex red/green dot w/psa flip up sights (PSA)

Alot I bought from their BlackFriday sales.  And my buddy pinned and welded the brake for me.  A box of 223 is all that cost me to get it done lol.  I think that's pretty much it.
