I don't have details on the photo other than it is an "after" pic of a ND. I am guessing the "exit" wound looks a little weird because it has been surgically cleaned up, with bone fragments and dead tissue already removed as it is shown halfway stitched up.

Could have been FMJ too. Your foot is small in relevance to center mass of your body. Full expansion wouldn't occur that fast, and any temporary wound channels caused by hydrostatic shock would make it look ten times nastier.

 

I want to see the top of the foot.

Prior to that I'd say those are some generally smooth looking feet.
