n4p226r 105 Posted June 12, 2014 What's the price on this?I think msrp is 719ish and street $650ish
BlueLineFish 615 Posted June 12, 2014 You should get Blue prices don't you from Glock dealers that qualify? Sent from my iPad 2 using T2 Pro yup...can get a brand new glock for 399. This doesn't blow me away for an extra 250-300.
sw41 0 Posted June 13, 2014 Some reputable HK dealers on HKPro are selling them for $550 in a group buy and $599.50 not in a group buy as the street prices. So it is not going to be an extra 250+.
checko 180 Posted June 13, 2014 From Vickers: As promised here are my first impressions of the HK VP9 - this is a non firing review as I have not gotten to the range with it yet; here goes- 1) Overall fit and finish is excellent as you would expect from HK 2) It has the same style of side panels and backstrap inserts as the P30 so a shooter can customize the grip to their hand - kudos to HK for that as options are good 3) The sights are the same as the P30 and HK45 series; perfectly usable and now easily swapped out for other options - far superior in every way to the hideous Glock plastic sights and even the plastic Walther PPQ sights 4) mags are interchangeable with P30 mags 5) the VP9 has a P30 style mag release and ambi slide releases that are similar to the P30 - I like the mag release and drop the mag with my trigger finger and the VP9 slide release is perfectly usable but I would personally prefer a bit more ledge as I release the slide with the support hand thumb; as is it is much better than the standard Glock slide release but I prefer the more pronounced ledge of the PPQ slide release - however I do prefer the P30/VP9 mag release over the Walther euro paddle style 6) the slide chargers appear to be a polymer U shaped piece that is under the rear sight - they work as advertised and help with slide charging. However I'm not sure they would answer the mail for one handed manipulation so if that is a big deal to you look at a replacement rear sight with a ledge design 7) okay now the biggie; trigger characteristics- my buddy Robbie Reidsma at HK gave me the rundown on the trigger a few weeks ago and I found he was spot on; it breaks a bit heavier than the PPQ but overall has a somewhat better feel in terms of length of pull, take up, overtravel and reset. All this is subjective of course but it is very comparable to the PPQ in trigger feel ( I actually like it better ) and is miles above a Glock trigger - no comparison. Well done HK as my VP9 has the best trigger on an HK pistol since since the P7 ( the trigger guard has the groove in it like the P30 and HK45 but I believe the trigger design will help prevent trigger finger bite which bothers many shooters including myself - live fire will tell the tale ) 8) my only real complaint about the VP9 is it has a higher bore line over the backstrap/grip vs a Glock or PPQ - not dramatically more than the PPQ but the HK is the lowest of the 3 - this may or may not be a big deal to you but you need to be aware of it Overall I am very impressed with the HK VP9 thus far and feel this pistol at the price it is going to sell at in your LGS ( $719 MSRP) is going to make it a very serious contender for all around best out of the box striker fired handgun I think he means the HK has the highest bore axis out of the 3 which I don't like. I'd definitely have to feel the trigger myself, but I doubt it has a smaller reset than the ppq. I can see there being less over travel.
sw41 0 Posted June 13, 2014 I did an image of the VP9 with a line overlay of the PPQ. The bore axis difference is very small.

sw41 0 Posted June 13, 2014 Yes, Cross Creek is doing 599.50 shipped. And Flagman of GMP is doing the $550 group buy. http://www.hkpro.com/forum/gmp-parts-company/
Sota 1,191 Posted June 13, 2014 I might get one after the dust settles from the first wave of OMG buying. Also I'll be interested to see what the resale market prices come in as in 3-6 months after deliveries start.
Worn_Holster 2 Posted June 13, 2014 I will consider one in .45 acp when the come out.
ogfarmer 138 Posted June 14, 2014 Mr. Colion Noir (@MrColionNoir) 32 mins · I shot over 500 rounds through the @hecklerandkoch VP9 today and I have to be honest. My HK P30 will probably never get shot again. Dead serious. That's all I am going to say, I'll save the rest for the review that I will do on it on NOIR. #NOIR LikeLike · · Share · 4185313
Melgamatic 66 Posted June 14, 2014 I'm ready to buy. Need to use the next 2 permits to pick up my pair of SASS Ruger Vaqueros, but in 60 days (hopefully they will be easier to find) I'm going to get one.
bhunted 887 Posted June 14, 2014 Just saw that on fb. My last permit will be expiring in one month. So I guess I'll be sol till the next batch of permits arise. I doubt it will hit the shelves in time. Sent from my iPhone using TT 2 Pro
