OK, I guess I'm committed (probably should be) - I went out today and bought 150 rounds of 12 ga. I also intend to shoot a bottom feeder (gasp!), so this will be a total departure for me, so far outside my comfort zone, who knows what will happen. I'll be there with my Steyr and Super Nova - hide the women and children.

I have a 6 up dual load and an IP 2.8. They are both on tech locks which are easy to swap. You are welcome to use them if you are on my squad.

 

If you want to use my gun get some stout target loads or better. It doesn't like the light stuff.

Get rifled slugs, I would say 2 boxes minimum from a previous conversation with Vlad.

Try and get a 1 1/8th load that goes as close to 1300fps as possible or better. Also no low recoil slugs.

 

She is picky about her diet.

My recommendation is to have 10 slugs, you will not need them all but you are better off with them then without them. They will be mandatory.

Just don't get sabot slugs they are meant to be shot in a rifled barrel regular slugs will work fine

Had plenty of 8 shot on hand but picked up a case and 2 boxes of slugs, put my short barrel on the 1100 and took out the plug.

 

Someone please tape me tomorrow and then dub the video with the Benny Hill theme music.  It's going to be quite a scene.

I've got 10 boxes of # 8 shot and 30 slugs.  Actually...35.  I found 5 in my safe from the box of mix and match stuff from my father.

Definitely come out. you can even shoot your revolver with all the other bottom feeders and still be competitive, you know that! I have a spare AP customs 4x4 shell carrier that folks can share.

Great match Vlad! Had lots of fun, but I can appreciate the tough logistics to put on parallel matches and keep everyone happy, but you seem to have accomplished just that. Thanks again.
