Fml! I'm gonna buy a lower

Recommended Posts

I'm gonna guess because it makes life easier here in the PRNJ!  Since a threaded barrel is illegal here you must remove the A2 birdcage and pin and weld either a thread protector or muzzle brake to stay in compliance!

It's an added expense but it seems impossible to find an upper or a barrel without threads.

I'm assuming it's easier to find a NJ compliant complete upper?

Every upper I have seen has an A2 or some type of suppressor or brake or a combination of the two it seems.

it can be factored into the cost of the rifle, its a nice feature to have. some consider it worth getting a quality brake and having it pinned on

Muzzle brakes are great unless you happen to be standing next to the person firing. Most of the more effective brakes deflect most of the otherwise straight forward blast

to the sides. It can get annoying at the range when you are the guy next to the shooter and it sounds like he's shooting a .50 cal!
