Quickest permit turnaround time?

Recommended Posts

As pointed out previously - you can't use it until 7 days from date of application

What if you do? How many FFLs know about the one week rule and do the state police check for that like one gina month? Anyone actually had experience with this law being enforced?

How would anyone know if there has been a denial, unless it was YOU? Post a copy of your pink slip.

After re-reading the statute, not sure how an acquiring person could be charged. It appears that only the disposing person could violate the law. Maybe conspiracy?

No handgun shall be delivered to any person unless such person possesses and exhibits a valid permit to purchase a firearm and at least seven days have elapsed since the date of application for the permit.

This goes back quite a while, but the fastest was 1 day. It helped when the chief and a couple of the cops were your customers and they trusted you enough to have given you keys to their homes and alarm codes. That was about four chiefs ago and everyone, including me, is retired now. I doubt it would be the same now with the cretins currently in place.

I still remember my 1st permit --  The day I turned 21, before the bar I went to the PD and handed in my paperwork -- it was a Friday

Saturday morning, as I was hung over, I received a call from the chief -- said my permit was ready and to come pick it up

That was 26 years ago
