Denial

Recommended Posts

I had my NICS denied because I was a few days early. Out $15.00 since you have to repeat. That's bad enough but then later on some retired guy working for the State Police calls inquiring why? I told him it was a simple mistake. He was nice enough & explained to be careful in the future or risk penalties, etc. Once again a reminder of how this state SUCKS!!!

Common practice - you have a One Gun per month law in NJ

If you file for a NICs check and get denied for a 30 day violation, that denial

goes on a report to the NJSP and they have someone from the office call to

remind, inform, ect. what the law is..............

I'm guessing a "few days early" means less than 30 days since his last handgun purchase, per the one-gun-a-month law.

That's why I never got more than 2 P2P's at a time.  I got three sets of them (1st set was with my FPID).   The last one in the last set I never used. I had it extended for the addl. 90 days, but I had left the PRNJ before it was used.

One of these days, I'll frame it and hang it up as a memento of what it was like....

Does Ron Keller still work for the NJSP FIU? He has been retired and double dipping since 2004?

Double Dipping is what New Jersey does so well.

So is it 30 calendar days? 30 working days?  I know it sounds like a dumb question but considering the hair spliters we're dealing with maybe not.
