Should anyone want the opinion of those outside this particular echo chamber, you need only to go to a deli and order your pork roll/taylor ham egg and cheese like you normally do. Then pay close attention to what they write on the order ticket: T.H.E.C.

Trenton legislators to raid our pockets even more
robot_hell replied to Howard's topic in General Discussion
The reality is that most people will NOT wash their re-usable bags, and the externalities for listeriosis treatment will be pushed on to our socialized medicine -

Heads-Up / Anti-Gun Newspaper Buying Gun Forums
robot_hell replied to Pizza Bob's topic in General Discussion
I am not worried by the new owners pulling the plug on one, or even several gun forums. If that happens, there are plenty of enterprising souls that will move in and create replacement. It doesn't affect the communities much, comparatively-- they will re-organize under new names. Media businesses looking to monetize know this, and would not willingly cut out that revenue potential. I think that particular concern is a non-issue. I am much more concerned about the implications of subtle censorship. This is much harder to detect unless the members of the community are close enough to have backchannel communication, and since it doesn't overtly push people away, it still preserves revenue. -
I have four. They're good lights for the price. They vary in button color, switch quality, tightness of the zoom lens, brightness, and beam pattern.

George Zimmerman's gun up on gun broker
robot_hell replied to EX Carnival man's topic in General Discussion
Sure he does. Pretty sure there's something on the bill of rights about that. The auction companies also have the right to duck out, just as GunBroker did. -
Something something Giants / Eagles...

Because of the high risk of getting caught with your pork roll in hand?

George Zimmerman's gun up on gun broker

They're probably losing more money from all the traffic overwhelming the servers than they stand to gain from the listing fees of that auction. I'd call it good business sense before I call it a political statement. -
"Weinberg contends the change would allow "every cab driver, every pizza delivery driver and anyone else living or working in a high crime neighborhood to qualify for a firearms permit." Oh no, we wouldn't want unwashed working-class riff-raff like that carrying guns! It doesn't matter... this isn't news, it's a dog and pony show. Nothing changed on either side, and everyone gets to tell their constituents that they Did Something™.

What happens if the funding goal isn't met? Where does the money then go? -
AK Malfunction During Firefight Against ISIS

At that point a little bit of dust in the action is the least he'd be worried about. -
I had stiction problems with mine and it didn't manifest like that. The norm was smoky start-ups and almost no power until the oil was up to temp. Rev-X works wonders, but it's damn expensive.

I had a 6.0. I considered it a ticking time bomb. Have you checked the output voltages on the FICM? If you take the access cover off there are terminals for a test probe. Don't ground it out, it should read 46v or higher. Some voltage dip is normal on colt start and throttle but it should never dip below 46v. See this guide: https://swampsdiesel.com/files/FICMvoltageTest.pdf I've come across a few posts in the past where a bad FICM can imitate a failing MAP sensor Also make sure the HPOP screen is not clogged.

Anyone near flemington have an HVLP spray gun?
robot_hell replied to fishnut's topic in General Discussion
Well I can see why she would have a problem with that! Spraying IN the garage? Are you nuts?? It's much easier to remove overspray from tile, you should instead consider the kitchen. It's where I do all my gunsmithing. -
buying a pistol from gunbroker

Hell, I'd take a Python wrapped in soiled underwear if it meant I could own it for under $1000. -

He probably has connections, just like anyone else with a carry permit in NJ. What's the big deal? Could you honestly say that if you had the same connections, you would forego the opportunity out of some kind of reverence for those who do not? -
Remember WebTV? It's that, only *slightly* better. Still crap.

Apple fighting the Government on creating a backdoor for phones.
robot_hell replied to Maksim's topic in General Discussion
This is impossible now, in part due to the E911 regulations that require cell phones to employ some type of tower or satellite based positioning system for emergency calls. If you want to be a part of a network, you need to give up some of your anonymity. This has been true long before networks of the social, wireless, or computer type was even invented. -
Their Aeropress makes an amazing cup of coffee. Completely worth it.

Roll by one cruiser with an automatic plate reader and you're done. The NJ gun owner equivalent would be writing "LONG GUN" in sharpie on the side of your 1911 so that you can bring it in to NY state.

USG Sues L3 for Fraud over EOTech issues

Can I get one for a fiver in a gun show parts bin yet? -
I'll throw another wrench into the works just for the heck of it. What about the cases where the loss of one's property means damage to one's livelihood or otherwise ability to survive (e.g. essential medical equipment, your storefront being robbed, loss of livestock, etc)? Is that something that should be codified into law, left to the discretion of a judge, or not even considered at all? If you believe it does not alter the legal standpoint, does it alter the moral one? If it does, to what extent, and at what point is that line drawn? For example, how necessary must that medial equipment be? Does the victim's ability to replace it factor in to the moral standing? Curious to see everyone's take on this, because this issue is not cut and dried.
