  1. LOL Bob, you obviously don't know Passaic. The legislator's in trenton call all the people you mentioned to see if they've come up with any nww idea's to harrass legal gun owners. On the other hand, if your a gang banger in Passaic your GTG
  2. Seems like this prosecutor withholding your property is completely unfounded ("Hospital released me a few hours later with a clean bill of health, no validity to my ex wife’s claims") I'd see about getting a lawyer to take the case on contingency and ask for punitive damages as part of the case...… Enough to pay for his fee's and a brand new Kimber perhaps?
  3. I can predict the outcome of this as long as its at the state level: This court finds that the precedent set by the NJ 30 day time frame to issue a FID or Pistol Purchase Permit being completely meaningless, that same standard may be applied to TRO regulation.
  4. NJ is a liberal state. The majority of voters are liberal (sad but true). The reality for the foreseeable future's only options are get court cases above the state level or move. State politics are not going to change any time soon.
  5. In NJ would anyone in their right mind think otherwise?
  6. The fact that the BIG Court is hearing a case is a BIG step in the right direction. Lets just pray its the first step of a trend.
  7. If the court sides with 2A they would be saying the ban is unconstitutional? If that be the case I'd like to see a class action law suit against the state for recovery of all the mags we were unconstitutionally required to dispose of or permanently modify (destroy its original functionality).
  8. I'm looking to get a complete upper to put on a lower I built. My question is about the grenade launcher being an evil feature …….. what is the evil feature, the launcher itself or If I get an upper with a barrel cut to accept a launcher is the barrel an evil feature?
  9. All this being said remember your in new jersey...….. you say you got off the interstate to take a wiz, the cop says you could have pulled on the shoulder and took a leak on the side of your car. Your being right or wrong, your still into lawyer fees in the $10k neighborhood. That is unless you think you have such a slam dunk case (like the example above) and go to a NJ court without a lawyer, in which case your firearm rights should be revoked on the grounds of your being insane But to answer the original question, correct me if I'm wrong the only purpose a FID has is to make you eligible to apply for a pistol purchase permit, buy a long gun, or purchase handgun ammo (godda love that last one …… got to be scrutinized to buy ammo) I think the only chance we have in NJ is to get cases to SCOTUS
  10. Hi, and thanks in advance for any help. I'm starting to gather parts for a build. I want to do an AR15 with a 20" wylde barrel and a 1:8 twist. The reason for the 20" is, many years ago (may be a factor) in the army with an m16a1, I was hitting pop up silhouettes at 400 yds. Going to the range now with a 16" barrel/magpul pro sights and I can just hit paper at 150 yds. I like the look of a collapsible stock and also the fact that the pin can be drilled out should I move out of our peoples republic state. Now to the question. While unsuccessfully looking for a rifle length extension tube that will accept a carbine adjustable stock, I ran across a few threads on other forums that addressed the issue by saying: use a carbine tube setup with an H buffer. My question is.... will this setup reliably cycle and not beat up the moving internals? And two, what would be the best buffer for 20" barrel with a rifle length gas system, H1, H2, H3? And last but not least will the standard carbine buffer spring work or is a heavy carbine spring needed with the heavy buffer? Thanks again for your advise and wisdom.
  11. Hasn't anyone approached her to star in a Weekend At Bernie's sequel yet?
  12. I read the other day some B.S. about Trenton passing another bill that basically say when smart guns become available for retail sale, they will be the only guns that can be sold in Jersey (rehash of something I thought was already on the books). LEOs to be exempt of course. Couple things I was wondering when this comes about. 1) Would an out of state purchase still be an option or will FFLs not be legally able to transfer? 2) In a civilian life or death defensive situation where a person is killed or crippled due to a smart gun failing to operate due to electronics failure, could the state and the manufacturer be sued/held liable? 3) I may be wrong about this, but it seems to me I read somewhere that weapons LEOs carry are supposedly defensive weapons. If that is the case and LEOs are exempt, is there a civil rights case that a civilian must use a defensive weapon that the state finds too undependable for a LEO? Even if the first sentence of this point is not fact would not the second still be valid?
  13. This is a good point ….. I didn't read the links (that I imagine defines entrapment). But its my understanding that if law enforcement solicits one to commit a crime that covers it. An under cover agent is guilty of entrapment I they for instance: offer to sell you drugs or sex or they approach you and offer to do a hit for instance. This/these investigators approached NFA and said I want to buy (over 10 rd) magazines and I want you to ship them to New Jersey. THE COP ASKED THEM TO BREAK THE LAW! Sounds like entrapment to me? On a side bar..... Does the below mean if New Jersey legalizes pot, Licenses dispensaries and collects taxes on its sales, they will require these dispensaries to post signs saying "NJ licensed this establishment, condones its operation and profits from its sale by taxation in violation of U.S. federal law. By purchasing and or using the product sold in this establishment you are also in violation of U.S. federal law." ????? 4. Despite New Jersey's longstanding prohibitions on magazine capacity, defendant New Frontier Armory, LLC ("Defendant" or "New Frontier Armory") has engaged in the online advertisement, offer for sale, and/or sale of LCMs to New Jersey residents, which range from 15 to 100 rounds, without informing customers that its products are illegal in New Jersey. Defendant has failed to inform New Jersey residents of the consequences of possessing LCMs, and has continued to engage in sales of LCMs to New Jersey residents despite written notice from the Attorney General demanding that it cease such activity.
  14. I think I read something that parallels this awhile back. Drugs were sent to a person via mail and found out during postal transit. The authorities followed the package all the way to the recipients mail box. As soon as the person had it in his hands, before even opening it (technically not knowing what was in it), he was arrested and charged with possession.
  15. This might be a bit of a side bar to the topic, But what gets me is how "we" let liberals put us in defensive postures just by terminology. In the memo the term "large capacity" is used. A standard magazine (in this case) has the number of rounds that the manufacturer designed/provided with the firearm ie AR-15 20 is standard, Beretta 92 15 is standard, anything less is reduced capacity, NOT large just because its over 10! Just like the only AR-15 that is an assault weapon is a PD agency/Tax Stamp full-auto rifle. Maybe if we bit down like bull dogs on this simple issue and EVERY time liberals use these incorrect terms instead of letting it pass web shot up fireworks correcting them public opinion may not be so swayed?
  16. rbg retire came up a few times in this thread...… Only way she will retire and give up her seat to a Trump appointee is if she dies...… If I'm not mistaken she came right out and said that -the dies part
  17. The NJ Judge will see Gun (Forum) in the subject of your request and grant it without reading another word!
  18. I found a war video game I forgot I had.... It has full auto rifles, rifles on the NJ banned list and most of the guns in it have over 10 round mags and multiple evil features...… Can I destroy the game myself or am I required to turn it over to the local authorities?
  19. There is no such thing as dual residency. I'm pretty sure if you have a drivers license that is your state of residence. Its not required by law to have a drivers license, in which case I'd presume it would be something like the address you claim residency on your state income tax or something. That being said.... For the purpose your talking about owning or renting and living part time in that dwelling may suffice. But keep in mind... I only play a lawyer on TV. Maybe you should ask or wait for one with a real law degree to chime in? Also what NJGF said is 100% true. You don't need a FID, registration or to notify the police or any authority to keep a NJ legal firearm that you legal own in your residence. But that still brings us full circle to can you be a NJ resident if you hold an out of state drivers license or claim residency in another state on your state tax form?
  20. I forget whats on that letter to references. It askes about your character, but does it "specify" what for? Even if it says something like "would this person pose a danger by possessing a firearm" they might get off on a technicality being it just asks a question and does not specifically say you have or are attempting to get a firearm.
  21. Welcome to the forum and The peoples republik of NJ. In a nut shell in NJ assault weapon ban is effective, as of just recently 10 round max mags, NO hollow points out side the home...…. You obviously don't have a FID (NJ gun card) if your daughter doesn't have one, I'd recommend renting at the range vs driving with a fire arm in the car. Be advised NJ is one of the most anti 2A states in the country. You will be arrested and prosecuted for any firearm violation you even remotely violate...… And in many places arrested for infractions a LEO thinks your violating but actually are not...…. If you do get arrested in NJ on a firearm violation you are guilty un till proven innocent as well. Again, welcome to NJ and the forum and have fun at the range, But be careful coming and going.
  22. I got a BCM break that looks just like a bird cage ……. Got it cuz if ya don't look tacticool on the firing line all the other kids laugh at ya...…. Jus when your shooting with it set up between 2 people you don't like.... Its obnoxiously LOUD!
  23. Looks like a very old thread/question resurrected...… I'll throw in my 2 cents for what its worth...…. I have Magpul Pro's on my 16" M&P15, back up for an Eothech…… Its the only AR I have with an optic and back up, and I shoot better with it using the sights over the Red Dot?
  24. I was thinking the same thing...…… You say you have an 18 inch barrel with a 1:8 twist? You bought a barrel not pre drilled for a gas block?
