Help! Need 500rd Brick of .22LR ( cheap and High Velocity)
NicePants replied to Jfoster99's topic in Hot Deal Discussions
Does Cabela's not have a backorder option? I figure I'm always waiting for these damn things to be in stock and missing them, so I might as well just put the big bulk packs they have from time to time on back order. -

I really have to stop reading those comments. I think I had like three aneurysms. -

Need help with Glenfield Model 60
NicePants replied to NicePants's topic in Rimfire Pistols & Rifles
Thanks for the help. I actually found that the problem was the pin on the sight wasn't tight enough. Few turns with an allen wrench fixed it right up. I was missing a screw however, the front one that holds the trigger group in. I'll be picking one of those up. Thanks again!- 5 replies

So I picked up an older Model 60 from the 70s. I thought the barrel was canted since the front sight was horribly off, till I discovered that the barrel was fine, it was just the band that holds the magazine tube in place was loose. Does anybody here have any experience with these older Marlins? I'm not exactly sure if there's a screw or something I'm missing that will keep the damn thing in place. It's pretty wobbly. For reference, here's the schematic for the rifle. It's a little different from the newer 60s: http://www.survivalprimer.com/PaulsGuns/marlin-glenfield60.gif Also, if I am missing a part, could I possibly use parts from a newer Model 60 for it? Thanks.

Well, after a thorough examination of the rifle, it seems like the band that holds the front sight and the magazine tube to the barrel was loose. Thankfully the barrel won't need to be refitted at all. Thanks for the help.

I picked up an old Marlin model 60, however I've found that the barrel is canted. I checked Marlin's website and they say that they won't service any rimfire rifles past a certain age, which unfortunately the rifle I bought falls under. Anywhere around here that'll do a good job on this without costing me an arm?

What happens when you DONT FOLLOW SAFETY PROCEDURES

That was tragic, but I think I'm going to hell for laughing at some of those comments. -
No real legal obligations, but you have a moral obligation to give the finger as you pass the state line.

Why would you even want that? It's so ugly.

Were there any roasted rumps on FB over this?

I think at this point you have more firearms than have been lost in every tragic boating accident combined. -
Man, I always miss all the good threads.

I will never find .22LR ammo ever again. Everywhere is either sold out in five minutes or overpriced.

I'm gonna agree with Topher. It's either that or exterminatus on the whole area.
