  1. Count me in. I have a thrower and a box of clays. Not sure how many are still ok since I bought them before my house move. I'll bring a 12 guage and a 20 guage youth gun. Not sure how many shells I have for the 20g.
  2. Sorry about the brass down your neck - I was trying to help you to train to fight through despite the distraction - lol. At about 1:30, far enough forward not to snag the pistol draw, I have a multitool in an HSGI pistol mag pouch. My pistol holster is on a drop leg at 3 o'clock - Safariland Drop flex adapter with a single strap leg shroud. That carries a QLS plate so I can swap holsters easily. At 4:30 is a TQ pouch which also holds a set of surgical shears and a resuscitation mask. Directly behind that is my IFAK. Both are reachable with either hand - to get the IFAK with my left hand I need to reach behind me. The TQ & shears I can reach from front or rear with either hand. At 7 o'clock is a dump pouch. There is a double AR mag pouch at about 8 o'clock - again HSGI. If was to fix anything it would be to swap these out for a more rigid design. Getting the mags into them has become more difficult as they wear in and lose stiffness. Between 9 and 10 o'clock I have 2 single HSGI pistol mag pouches for pistol mags. I have space for 6 more AR mags and 1 pistol mag on my plate carrier. I have been advised not to carry anything at 6 o'clock. SoB holsters aren't a great idea either, as an aside.
  3. If you own all the components to make a magazine greater than 10 rounds it is a felony, even if it is disassembled. The spring on it's own without the other parts is not regulated.
  4. I run a distance lens for my left eye and a close lens for my right when shooting irons. I also have another insert for my Aimcam glasses that has 2 distance lenses for when I'm running a red dot. The second set make running a scoring tablet a wee bit of a challenge.
  5. There is no reason the gun cannot be shipped from CGW directly back to the owner. It does not need to be shipped back to an FFL.
  6. They are giving you bad advice. You must declare it a firearm when you drop it with UPS or FEDEX. There cannot be any indication on the outside of the package that it is a firearm, but declare it, you must. Also, you have to drop it at a real UPS or FEDEX location. The UPS desk at Staples or your local Kinko is not allowed to accept it.
  7. Define easy access? Lol. These are NJ statutes. There is no definition provided. Anything I make up is worthless. I was responding to 124gr9mm's comment.
  8. The law is that you cannot allow a kid (under 18) easy access to a loaded firearm. If securing the firearms is tricky, securing the ammo instead is an option.
  9. I would have, but you didn't being any. Great day, beautiful weather and I learned a few things about running a carbine. Let's get a shotgun shoot going soon. @Krdshrk, what do you think? Beers and a cook out at my place after. I'm only 15 minutes from Clinton WMA.
  10. As I read the statutes you cannot just ride around with a non-NFA firearm - ironically because of the gap in the laws that enable non-NFA firearms to exist in the legal sense. 2C:39-5.b. Handguns. (1) Any person who knowingly has in his possession any handgun, including any antique handgun, without first having obtained a permit to carry the same as provided in N.J.S.2C:58-4, is guilty of a crime of the second degree... 2C:39-5.c. Rifles and shotguns. (1) Any person who knowingly has in his possession any rifle or shotgun without having first obtained a firearms purchaser identification card in accordance with the provisions of N.J.S.2C:58-3, is guilty of a crime of the third degree. As an non-NFA is neither a handgun nor a rifle the above does not apply. Therefore, you're now stuck with 2C:39-5.d. Other weapons. Any person who knowingly has in his possession any other weapon under circumstances not manifestly appropriate for such lawful uses as it may have is guilty of a crime of the fourth degree. Sadly NJ does not recognize self defense as a lawful use so I think you're SOL with a non-NFA firearm. Even with an FPIC, you can't be in possession outside the exemptions for to/from the range, FFL, home, etc. PS. IANAL and did not sleep in a Holiday Inn Express last night.
  11. @High Exposure Are you still coming? The weather forecast does not include rain.
  12. If you haven't already, join ANJRPC. They have attorneys on retainer to answer questions such as this for members.

I use a Hornady Rapid Safe 2700kp. It is RFID activated and has a wall wart power supply with battery backup and a mechanical key lock. It does not use a biometrics.
  14. If he put his crockpot up for sale how could he follow your recipes?
  15. You won't damage the gun with any of these bullet weights. The point of impact will be slightly different and at short distances you will struggle to see the difference. The felt recoil is typically higher with lighter bullets but that also depends on the powder charge behind them. 9mm is often considered "snappy", more so with the lighter, higher velocity rounds. Lighter bullets are cheaper due to less lead in them so its a case of you pays your money and take your choice. Try them out and see what you like. 147gn and higher pays dividends if you get to shoot suppressed as they are usually subsonic.
  16. Now THAT'S social distancing!

Can you post a picture of the computer table, please?
  19. That was really interesting. Turing did an amazing job on decrypting the Nazi Enigma machine. The code was too complicated to deterministically crack in a reasonable amount of time, so he came up with non-deterministic logic. This is essentially making the computer guess when it cannot really know. However, it worked often enough to make a difference because applying the guess was easily checked (the problem was in the set NP) and sometimes a message would be decrypted in time for the information contained within to be useful - e.g. rerouting a transatlantic convoy to avoid a U-boat wolfpack.
  20. Sorry - I missed this when you first asked. I have a set of gauges. I'm in Hunterdon Co. Where are you? Sorry to have to say this, but the whole point of checking the headspace is to make sure it is safe to fire.
  21. 17,000 rounds will wear out a mag catch. No problems after it was swapped out.
  22. 9mm is .355. Way over .30 caliber. Also handguns are not allowed, so I would doubt handgun calibers get any kind of exemption.
  23. It would be disrespectful for me, having only met him for the first time today, to agree with you. I didn't mean that you were disrespectful, only that it would have been if I'd said it.
