Can anyone reco a good, cheap hard case for my M&P 15-22?

Recommended Posts

I get mine at dicks...HERE is one that will fit 4 pistols for 25 bucks. I think they have some cheaper "plano" ones also....$9.99 rings a bell...but I can't find them on their website.

HERE is one from cheaper than dirt . com for 4 bucks for small pistols, 5 for med pistols and 6 for large pistols.

I just bought a M&P 15-22 this past monday and got a really nice soft case that is tall enough to hold it with a scope mounted on it for $24.00 from Simon Peter. I find the softcases good for transporting to and from the range easier because they take up less room in the car. Simon peter also has a bin of hard cases that will work for that gun for between $20.00- 40.00 also, you just have to remove the magazine before placing it in the case.

I like Plano cases. Relatively cheap and are lockable.

example: http://www.amazon.com/Plano-10470-Guard ... 0029KH9FS/

ETA: Hard cases are a bit of a pain in the butt to deal with in a car. They can take up a lot of room if you're transporting more than 1 rifle. Even with the jeep, I usually have to put the rear seat down to get everything loaded up. But I'm almost always packed to the gills, so maybe it's just me. Either way, I've switched to soft cases for range use.

Actually, +1 on this amazon case.... buy paperclips for a penny more and you get free shipping to boot.
