So I was watching "Real Houswives of NJ" WITH THE GIRLFRIEND

Recommended Posts

last night and one of the husbands seems to have a nice collection, couple of ARs, shotgun, couple thousand rounds of ammo. This may sound stupid but i'm glad they showed it because I feel like a lot of NJ people believe only rednecks own guns, so to see some of the super rich in the state owning an arsenal might make a few people think (Not that the caliber of people watching Real Housewives of NJ are very important!)

I watched it last season with my wife. I lost interest really quick but did happen to hear familiar names on the show. The two sisters are married to the Manzo brothers. Their familiy owned a carting company in Staten Island years ago. I believe it was bought by Waste Management when their father died. They had their office in the town I grew up in.

Bernard Kerik was also on the show last year, guess the prison sentence will mean he's out for this year!

I dont watch it, it makes me ill to see NJ and esp italians portrayed this way BUT my wife mentioned it to me today and said the guy had a belt of over 15 rounds in length which we know is illegal. I assume it was a bandolier but you never know. Anyone that seen able to comment.

Personally I'm sick of all these Jersey reality shows..

Real Housewives of ANYWHERE is just a stuck-up bunch of bitchy ladies with drama. Jersey Shore is a bunch of stupid kids who aren't even from NJ acting up and causing drama. Jerseylicious is retarded (and I know which salon it's at too). Jersey Couture ..... eh.. i gotta stop or else i'm gonna blow a fuse.

My wife watches most of those shows. The one thing I don't understand is why are all the people in these "New Jersey" Shows all transplanted from Staten Island and Brooklyn ?

Hey hey...I am from Staten Island........................

Let's be honest, NY'ers spend a lot of $$ at the NJ shore. We rented houses as late teens/ early twenties and they were a fortune. Three houses were 30K each. It was like 1.5K each person and if you were a couple sharing a rm, it was like 2K each. Not bad considering is was for like 5 mos...

I watch them all and love.

he has a pretty big safe.

Pretty well stocked too.

It was Jacqueline's husband Chris.

So instead of showing rednecks with guns, they show a mobbed up family with guns ;)

The Manzo's own the Brownstone in Paterson.

It was given to their father during his mob days.

You do know he was found in the trunk of a car I believe.

Papa Manzo didn't hang out with the boy scouts.

:text-yeahthat:

Dina and Caroline are sisters and Chris is the brother of Dina and Caroline. It's not like I know them personally, this was all said on the show. I remember them in the offices around South Beach and they treated me well when I brought food upstairs to them.

Oh and it's not just the Ny'ers giving NJ a bad rap. There is plenty of trashy NJians that contribute.

My girlfriend watches the show and I end up catching a glimpse of it once in awhile with her. It intrigues me a little b/c I know the owner of the Brownstone and I live next to Franklin Lakes (thats where most of them live). The GF was telling me about the season finale last year and how she wanted to watch it on TV that night. I told her that I would rather go out and get some hibachi. I won ...So we go to a local Japanese restaurant and in walks the "prostitution whore" on the show (Danielle) w/ her daughters and a dude that was half her age.. I guess she could not stand to watch the season finale herself.

That show needs more table flipping and prostitution whores.

I think my friend paul came up with this slogan to be quite honest. He would go around sticking them on the parkway coin trays

That was back in HS though..

My mom watches this show and I watch it sometimes with her. Its really funny the way they all talk shit about each other, yet they all hang out. So the whole show is them fighting. That and the one wife whose trying to be a singer and sounds like total shit when she sings, but shes rich so they use NASA technology to make her voice sound good.

Wait, do bandoliers of shotguns shells fall under the magazine rule?

A bandolier is not an "Ammunition Feeding Device" you could have a case of rounds on a bandolier and it wouldnt be an issue.

Albert (Tiny) Manzo was executed mob-style in August 1983, after he and Gambino family soldier Peter A. Campisi were suspected of skimming from a mob casino on Staten Island. "A couple of weeks later, they found Tiny Manzo in the trunk of his car," recalled Robert Buccino, a New Jersey organized crime expert.

The 350-pound mobster took four slugs to his torso. His naked body - the arms and legs bound in plastic - was discovered in the trunk of his parked Lincoln-Continental outside a supermarket in Hillside, N.J. The killing was never solved.

Campisi, a made man and Tiny's partner in the casino, suffered a similar fate, Buccino recalled.

The colorful Manzo, who ran for mayor of Paterson in 1974, also owned the Brownstone Restaurant - one of the main backdrops for action in "Housewives."
