Speaking of 590's, are there any non-A1's that have Parkerized finishes?  I haven't seen any - and maybe for the points on previous page (safety location for pistol and tactical stocks) my next buy/build would be an 870....

Some 500's are parkarized. My originally Persuader configureed 500 is park'd.

Nice, I'll have to keep my eyes peeled - Since I'm a lefty I was considering building an 870 but somewhat worried about slapping the safety on with the recoil of the 12 gauge - may stick to Moss for my next build -

The safety on an 870 is reversible.

 

Also, they make a LH 870, with the ejection port and what not reversed for you wrong-handers.

Remington 887 Nitro Magnum

Very underated shotgun. Too bad Remington stopped making them, but you can't compete against yourself with the 870. The 870 line isn't going anywhere. Still, the 887 is a good option for home defense.

I like the 1301 Comp better than the 1301 Tactical.  Interchangeable chokes and larger loading port.

Yep. Had the Hogue overmolded set before which felt great, might transfer that to the 28" Mossy. I do like the Magpul furniture better though...
