Firefox 4

Firefox 4 is out. I've been using the betas for a bit and it's different from the 3.x.x versions.

 

It's a bit more streamlined, it is supposed to be faster, but my computers are so fast anyway, I don't really notice.

 

One thing, if you're running windows 7, you might notice your fonts looking like hell. Go into Options/Advanced and turn off "Use Hardware Acceleration When Available"

 

You're going to upgrade eventually...may as well get it over with.

There's a bit more real estate on the page. It's a little faster. I'm still undecided on "pin as app tab".

 

FireFTP still works but my other addons don't so I'm out a little there.

 

It's ok and takes a little bit to get used to.

App Tab is the best it loads the pages so much faster and keeps them where you left them even after restart!

I try all the browsers except IE. Still like Firefox 3.6.16 the best.

Wow! That name is a blast form the past for me. I havent used that one in years! Time to go revisit Opera. As for firefox, Ill stick with 3.6 as it has proven itself to me. I will not even entertain the idea of using internet exploiter or windows for that matter. Linux is far superior. funny enough, i am on a windows machine rite now

I use Opera on my blackberry. The older version rocks. The new version not so much.
