glockman26 0 Posted March 25, 2011 Hey - My son and I are going to join cherry ridge range next month and are currently stocking up on supplies. I purchased a trap shooter but strangely enough, I cannot find anywhere that sells clay pigeons. because of the weight - this is a local purchase - to order on the internet - it cost about 7 to 10 bucks for 90 clays and $150 TO SHIP ! We live in Morris County in Budd Lake - Ramseys Outdoor in Ledgewood doesnt have them. Does anyone know where we can get clay targets ? THANKS
kenw 293 Posted March 25, 2011 Get them at the range. Cheaper than anywhere else. Just find one of the ROs and ask him to open the shed near the shotgun range. If I remember right, last season they were 11 bucks a case of 140. Bring cash.
axeman_g 128 Posted March 25, 2011 Dicks is selling them currently on Sale. Cant remember specifics

RecessedFilter 222 Posted March 25, 2011 I usually get mine at Cabela's...like $11 for 135 or something. Plus they have Midi's and Mini's as well.
Malsua 1,422 Posted March 25, 2011 There's a Red box right near the first port on the shotgun range. Press to talk, release to listen. Press button, wait a second, they will answer. Press again: "Need some clays at Shotgun" and a few minutes later and 11 bucks lighter, you're good to go.
lunker 274 Posted March 25, 2011 DO NOT BUY THEM ON THE INTERNET. Take a look at the reviews on Amazon.com and a few other sites. Most people say between 1/4 and 1/2 of the clays arrive broken.
kenw 293 Posted March 25, 2011 By the way, CR requires that shooters use biodegradable clays. If you get them anywhere but the range, make sure they're bd.
Malsua 1,422 Posted March 25, 2011 Also, Mastadon in Highland Lakes usually has clays. I was there the other day and he hadn't ordered yet for the season but I'm sure he'll have stock soon. He was $10.99 a box last year.
Mr.Shoot_It_All 13 Posted March 25, 2011 cherry ridge said they sell clays at market price
hd2000fxdl 422 Posted March 25, 2011 Yep head to Dick's. Walmart in PA has 'em too. Does Dick Sporting goods have them in their store on RT 18 or did you find them someplace else. I didn't see any the last time I was there. Harry

matt6669 71 Posted March 25, 2011 Way to read the thread. Mastadon, a Store, sells them for $10.99. Negative because cherry ridge is STILL cheaper b/c you forgot mastodon charges tax whereas cherry ridge is already put into their price.
Mr.Shoot_It_All 13 Posted March 25, 2011 cherry ridge is awesome
lunker 274 Posted March 25, 2011 I am still waiting to go to Cherry Ridge with Frank one of these days. It seems like they have lame rules about target distances, handguns on the rifle range, only allowing paper targets. That's weak. It makes me appreciate Fort Dix even more.
