Greetings to all. I live in NJ and FL (where I have my Concealed Weapon Firearm License). I'm in NJ for the summer but didn't bring my Glock 17 or Ruger LCP until I know for sure I can transport them LEGALLY into NJ. It amazes me that the NJ laws are so drastically different than FL!

 

Anyway, I'm waiting for a call from the weapons officer at my local police department for some clarification. If anyone here knows the LAW, please post. Thanks.

Yes, you may bring them to your home in NJ. Can you prove, if need be, that you are also a resident here?

Yes, I have proof that I own a home here. Although I have a FL driver's license and FL plates, I guess I'll keep a copy of my NJ real estate tax bill in my car just in case.

Better off with a utility bill. Tax bills only show block and lot and a billing address. It could mean you only own land, which is not acceptable.
