Hey Tony, the Doc actually told us that is what he has. Hes been eating the same foods forever and nothing ever happened. One day my wife walked him to Dunkin donuts; not even a 2 minute walk from the house and when they got home, she took his coat and hat off. Within a few minutes his body was covered in Hives. Of course me being a Dad I rushed him to the ER and they couldnt determine the cause. He had a skin test done yesterday and the Doc couldnt determine the cause. We brought up that it only happens when he's exposed to cold. The doctor put an ice cub on his forearms; about a minute passed and his arm started to break out. This has us so scared. The doctor told us that this could be something he has for life. Im praying for the best.

Wow , sorry you are dealing with this. Have you brought him to an actual immunologist? Regular doctors are not always current on the latest in allergies. My baby had a bunch of issues and the doctors at the hospital and our regular pediatrician said to get rid of the dogs , they were most likely the cause. I took him to a specialist , an immunologist and a pulmonologist , and both confirmed a baby his age can not have that kind of allergy yet. They were right , that was 5 months ago , and he is fine and not allergic to dogs at all.

Where are you? The immunologist at Goryeb Children's Center is excellent. They are in Morristown Memorial and Overlook in Summit .

It's linked to Celiacs. If you are of northern European stock, specially Nordic stock, gluten intolerance is fairly common at 1 in 100 although it's possible in anyone. Celiac's disease is something that Europe is way ahead of the USA on. Most doctors in the US don't even look for it. My family has a history of it. It took nearly 5 years before a doctor figured it out in my mother and what a difference it has made in her life now that she avoids gluten. If I were you, I'd look into it, specially if your son has any gastro issues. Celiac manifests in many ways, and in fact, before a diagnosis of MS, celiacs has to be ruled out, but one of the common indicators is gastronomic issues, from constipation to diarrhea to simply cramps and pains.

I have had a lot of full body Urticaria attacks from unkown cause, which is the worst outcome like a ticking time bomb.

I was tested for a bunch of stuff,to this day the cause is still unknown.

At least you know what triggers attacks, only thing i was given was vast amounts of Antihistamines orally or IV if i was really bad.

Look into getting a epi-pen.,seek out other doctor's, good luck.
