Trijicons on a 1911. Anyone got'em?

Shot a guys Glock at the range the other day. He had Trijicon sights on it. Seemed really sweet. Thinking of putting them on my KImber 1911. Looking for opinions.

If you're looking for night sights, Trijicon is the way to go. I have a set on my Springfield TRP. I always liked the the adjustable Bomar type sights until I started using these. I will probably be replacing them with a black rear and fiber optic front since this gun is going to be used strictly for USPSA.

I have heinie straight eight night sights on my 1911

What is the rear cut in your slide? I know Kimber has a specialty cut.

wow, i actually didn't realize how many they made. although kensight does make an adjustable one if needed. My 1911 has an LPA cut, and its been a PITA finding a good rear sight.

I am between these and a Wilson Combat sight that I laid eyes on today at OMG Customs. REALLY nice.

the night sights came stock on my SA EMP. i really like them. they get me on target at 10-15 yards no problem with the little 3 inch barrel.

I have trijicons on my baby eagle, really like those sights.. purchased them i think in 92 i have not checked in a few years if they are still glowing..

 

their still glowing, these sights are cool at night..

 

not a 1911 but are trijicons..

I have Trijicon's on all my 1911's, including my Kimber Compact. I like them, although I haven't shot too much with anything other than 3-dot sights.

Well, after doing a little more research, it looks like the Trij's are gonna be for me. Unfortunately, I have 3 guns at the 'smith at the moment. My 686 is getting sights, my Taurus is getting sent back and my Fusion custom build is getting the internals fitted so the Trijicon sights will need to wait a little bit.

 

Freejersey, any chance you can post a pic of the sight picture?

This is the best I could do. My camera doesn't have a manual focus and I couldn't find my tripod. The fron sight doesn't look that small in person.
