Star Ledger STILL wants to print gun owner info

Recommended Posts

So we are all aware that the Star Ledger wants to print gun owner info.....

http://njgunforums.com/forum/index.php?/topic/44262-star-ledger-wants-to-print-gun-owner-info/page__hl__%2Bstar+%2Bledger__fromsearch__1

And with the fallout of the Journal News article, Tom Moran of the Star Ledger doubles down on the dumb.....trying to argue that guns are so easy to obtain, that there is no reason for burglers to steal guns from private homes.

a would-be burglar would fear he was taking his life into his hands by targeting a house with a gun inside

Think about it: Since guns are so easy to buy, why bother robbing a house solely to get a gun?

Burglars are out to nab whatever valuables can be resold for the highest profit -- jewelry or cash being at least as desirable as a gun.

So the question remains: Why would publishing a list of gun-permit owners inevitably expose these people to burglaries?

It's nice for him to ignore the police who are on those lists, or people who might be in 'hiding' do to stalkers and such......

Star-ledger editorial.... (excuse my french, but what an A-hole).

...."And a gun could be the hardest thing to steal in the house, if carefully hidden or kept stored under lock and key". -Yeah. Like a car stored under lock and key never gets stolen right? Kind of defeats the purpose of hiding it when they know firearms are there. They will just keep looking till they find them.

...."A burglar could much more easily -- and safely -- steal a bracelet and use the proceeds from it to buy a gun with no background check, either at a gun show or illegally through a straw purchaser or online ad." -Yeah right. Why do the anti-gun crowd seem to think that handguns are so easy to legally purchase? Where in the world do they shop that you can get a handgun delivered to you in NJ from an on-line retailer? Name some names editor or shut up.

The editor seems to be a self-proclaimed expert on criminal behavior as he constantly professes to know what a burglar would and wouldn't do. That's the trouble with these guys, they believe they know everything.

I'm starting to think maybe we should ADVERTISE we have weapons inside... at all the entrys, put a flag up in the yard,.... my money is on the criminals DON'T come in. (and have everything in a big, fat, secured, safe so if they do come in, they don't get the guns.

Put up these:

Someone (most likely 90% of everyone) must have ripped apart his article with facts. Comments seem to be disabled. Oh how liberals hate facts. It messes up their storytelling!

That was funny

Contact info for the SL editorial board...

This is only their professional info, but you can give them a piece of your minds. I'd say doxx them and get their personal info up as well... fight fire with fire and see how they like having their private information spread across the net.
