DirtyDigz 1,812 Posted January 23, 2013 At least they give qty discounts. 250 rds is $350.... Link for posterity: http://alamoammo.com/rifle-ammo/223-5.56/5.56-federal-xm193-55gr-fmj-bt-250ct-bulk-m-id-29465560713-upc-55655250
Lalo 13 Posted January 23, 2013 Yeah, there are people who will pay that. Think about it, somewhere out there there is a guy who makes $2500 a week with all the toys in the world and doesn't care to wait around to find ammo at a good price. If it's available, he'll order it. Pocket change...
freyjoel 0 Posted January 24, 2013 Heck, I'd SELL most of mine at half that price.
Clintoon Eastwood 2 Posted January 24, 2013 Heck, I'd SELL most of mine at half that price. Don't say that unless you serious because you might get a few Pm's from people here.
njJoniGuy 2,133 Posted January 24, 2013 At $1.30 a pop, you'd better make EVERY shot count!
freyjoel 0 Posted January 24, 2013 I would. I've got enough to last me at least a year and I'm positive the prices will come down by then.

Clintoon Eastwood 2 Posted January 24, 2013 Shoooooot.... I would sell mine for a dollar a round and let the Ar sit in the safe for a while. Then use that money for new toys like a model 29 and a gold plated Ak
Scrap 4 Posted January 24, 2013 Dude the thing is people are paying it. This very board amazes me,. people are paying absolutely stupid prices being asked for rifles etc. on the sale forum, to me, I' m insulted by some of the asking prices that sell out in a matter of minutes. Just yesterday I saw something , without naming names, I saw an ammo being sold 'second-hand' for more per round that it is being sold for brand new at some sites. But people snapped it up with relish. I mean how do you tell someone not to do that? and really, i do not see it getting better. Unlike the past years, this time, the sky really is falling. If you don't get it now, you might not get it for a fair price ever again.
Springfield1911 22 Posted January 24, 2013 I would. I've got enough to last me at least a year and I'm positive the prices will come down by then. When in the history of ammo have prices ever gone down? Folks get used to paying a lot for ammo thanks to all the panicing.

Scrap 4 Posted January 25, 2013 It's funny i was just discussing this with my old man. Basically I had major major back surgery in 2010, spine was redone with a prosthesis, I had artificial total disc replacement. it has been a long journey since. But especially in the beginning all I had was free time. I WISH i had invested the moeny I had then (which was pilng up since I didnt do anythig) and made myself learn how, because I would have both a ton of premium hand loads and a ton of cheap cheap ammo too. I just wish I realized that at the time.
Gorilla800lbs 12 Posted January 25, 2013 LOL indeed. That's the face of that poor, down-trodden, beleaguered firearms industry right there.
