preserve snake shed?

I was given the shed of a spitting cobra recently by a friend of mine... i was wondering if there was some way to preserve it? urethane? mount?

 

any options?

yup.. the shed.. I talked to fishpaw last night.. and it is drying out downstairs.. Ill probably just frame it..

If you wanted to display it, I would just put it in a frame, press it flat and hang it on the wall. The molt gets pretty brittle once it dries out and can tear fairly easily. So the goal is to keep people from touching it. So long as you do that, you shouldn't have any issues. I still have my first snake's first shed in the pages of a book.

 

My Boa's gonna shed any day now if anyone else wants their very own snake shed.
