45Doll 5,891 Posted March 21, 2013 One local newspaper in Sussex County printed a letter indirectly admonishing Allison Littell-McHose for voting against A3687, the Terrorist Watch List bill. I wrote a counterpoint letter and it was published today: http://townshipjourn...h-letter-writer In it I quote the entire original letter, which was just two snippy sentences. I agree with ANJRPC that it's important to counter this stuff whenever and wherever possible, so I gave it my best shot.
rlsbee 1 Posted March 21, 2013 Good letter! Congratulations and thanks for taking a public stand. Well done!
45Doll 5,891 Posted March 21, 2013 Thanx. I have to give some credit to milsan1 who gave an excellent analysis of this bill in the Pending Legislation forum. I quoted some of it where appropriate. Here's a fun fact: I think Ted Kennedy was on the no-fly list because of my wife. He literally ran into her (on his feet, not with his car) at the Beverly Hills Hotel at a large gathering. Stoned of course. Do that, and it's no-fly pal!

Old Glock guy 1,127 Posted March 21, 2013 Nice work 45Doll! I've been doing the same thing, with a couple of letters so far in our local papers. I have another one in the works in response to a political cartoon in today's Record. The media are not getting our message out, so it's up to us to do it. PeteF 1,044 Posted March 21, 2013 Only thing wrong with your response but law abiding citizens (such as U.S. Senator Edward M. Kennedy) Kennedy not so much law abiding citizen.
NJPatriot 0 Posted March 21, 2013 Good job and keep up the good work. The low info voter, no info voter and mis-informed voter will all benefit from these type responses.
Old Dog 19 Posted March 21, 2013 Was not so good for that ex LAPD Cop who recently shot a few people and was killed in turn.
Old Glock guy 1,127 Posted March 21, 2013 OGG: Bergen or Daily? It was in today's Bergen Record, along with an editorial chastising Congress for being "cowards" on the AWB. I searched for a link, but could not come up with one.

JimmyAGR 54 Posted March 25, 2013 Love the last lines, They ran their lives based solely on fear and an unorganized outpouring of emotion. Logic was inoperative. Sound familiar? Nice!
