Barms 98 Posted April 19, 2013 The shorter rifles. The mags look tinier. Doesn't look like 223 ammo. What kind of rifles are those? To those who have been watching TV
Old Dog 19 Posted April 19, 2013 Could be using NY legal mags.

Shawnmoore81 623 Posted April 19, 2013 They come in 9mm, .40 and .45. Maybe more but I know of those
Barms 98 Posted April 19, 2013 hmmm... so that's not so much a "rifle" per se then... it seemed like i saw a lot of them (besides a typical AR).. Do spec ops guys like those for close quarters? pros/cons?

ronhonda 86 Posted April 19, 2013 and are those Jersey legal? There was a jersey legal one in 45acp. Shot them ages ago at the old Paterson Range during an open house. Very cool, but pricey.
Blueskybob 12 Posted April 20, 2013 and are those Jersey legal? NJ Legal? If it is a: MP5A3 Probably not even close. Possible 1. Colapsable Stock 2. Selective fire (single, burst, or full auto) 3. Possible less than legal barrell length. You can get a legal version, or a .22LR clone. All it takes is money.

Well of course i meant if NJ neutered.. what i meant was are they manufactured specifically for LEO.. or are they banned by name.. etc etc.. things like that.. i just don't hear that type of weapon mentioned much.. TheLugNutZ 21 Posted April 20, 2013 Gsg 522. Not exactly the same but similar in 22lr
Barms 98 Posted April 20, 2013 think i found a pic.. can't say if its exact.. .. the one on the left.. http://www.google.co...ml%3B1024%3B611 no.. it wasnt the GSG 522.. i know what that one looks like..
TheLugNutZ 21 Posted April 20, 2013 I was just talking about a nj legal option
Krdshrk 3,878 Posted April 20, 2013 They come in 9mm, .40 and .45. Maybe more but I know of those 3 Also 10mm.
TheLugNutZ 21 Posted April 20, 2013 Also 10mm. I bet that thing would be a blast to shoot
vladtepes 1,060 Posted April 20, 2013 i see no pros to something like that... I would much rather have a SBR AR... as there is less chance of over penetrating... sub guns were all the rage for interior and short urban situations (like swat).. but like I said.. an AR is better IMO.. TheLugNutZ 21 Posted April 20, 2013 Maybe b/c it's designed around the pistol caliber. I know you can run a 9mm ar, but it wasn't originally designed that way. These were specifically engineered as close quarter pistol cal weapons
Krdshrk 3,878 Posted April 20, 2013 Oop scratch that - sorry - only 9x19, .40 S&W and .45ACP. Not 10mm. I was thinking of the MP5.
Turbotezza 1 Posted April 20, 2013 The standard model in the US is .45 and 9mm for Europe and elsewhere.
High Exposure 5,666 Posted April 20, 2013 I see mostly M4s. If you are talking about these rifles (the two slung on the shooters facing the camera): Those are Sig 556 rifles like this one: Probably the 556 SWAT SBR (10" barrel) version: With lights, sights, etc... Blacksmythe 71 Posted April 20, 2013 Sweet SBR, we can only dream. But whats up with the ACU's (worst cam p ever)
Sht 3 Posted April 20, 2013 I'd love a mp5/10 but reloading for it must suck! I'm starting to think that may give a 10" ar sbr a run for its money.
High Exposure 5,666 Posted April 22, 2013 We're you referring to the rifle the DSS Agent is carrying? If so that is a Colt 9mm Subgun. If I remember correctly is was developed at the request of the Marine Corps FAST teams. The standard Colt Model 635 has a 10.5" barrel, but there is also a Model 633 has a 7" barrel and a different front sight setup (this variation was built to fulfill a request by the DEA). We had them for a little while, but they were very unreliable with anything but Mil-spec 9mm hardball ammo.
