You poor NJ bastards.  I applied online for a pistol permit on Thursday  (12/12).  No bank check, no finger prints, no visit to the local PD and I paid with my credit card.  I sheriff's office called and emailed me at 8:45AM today (Monday, 12/16) my permits are ready.  I have to get them soon as they are only good for five years.  Of course, once my CCW comes in I won't need them.  The terrible thing is it takes about 100 days to get a CCW permit.   How terrible.

lol in PA if you want a gun you just go to the gun store and buy one...

Same for Delaware....which is also a may issue state that actually issues unlike nj may issue ....they have a bunch of hoops and expense...but they issue to most everyone without issues in their past....no class 3 though...so pa for the win as far as border states go...lol

I really appreciate how supportive he is.. it was nice to do something with a gun and not be treated like a crazy person.. lol

Where I moved to PA 2 years ago from NJ it was weird buying a gun. I walked in, saw what I liked, did the background check, paid and left. A week later did it again. At the range I openly carried, felt weird at first then felt natural. Opened carried at several rallies and that was so weird but great. Gosh, when I lived in NJ I felt so brainwashed and guilty when I carried in another state. Now I feel guilty if I DON'T carry. I get on my wife when she forgets and I remind her this is a right that you should be happy you have... Use it!

Last, my wife was in disbelief when we got our PA carry in 20 minutes. She kept asking me when are we getting fingerprinted and sit with the sheriff? I said "this is what it's supposed to be like".
