Anyone watch "The Blacklist"?

I have been watching this show, kind of enjoy it. But last night NBC did their version of an anti gun statement during a network show.

 

Gas station convenience store setting:

 

Bad guy with gun holding hostages

CCW citizen pulls gun and says drop your weapon

Bad guy shoots CCW guy

CCW guy fires his gun while falling

 

Stray bullet hits a child in the gut

 

 

PD Snipers outside headshot bad guy

I do watch that show, but didn't see this episode.  Have it recorded though.  

 

I guess you missed the memo - civilians can't hit the broad side of a barn, but pd are all marksmen (except nypd of course) LOL

I haven't seen the show yet; it's on when I'm at work.  I have seen the previews and it looks like a show I'd really enjoy.  

 

I am however disappointed (though not surprised) that there would be a scene like that in any show.

The PD didn't take out the bad guy, his wife picked up the revolver dropped by the CCW guy and shot him in the back.

I watch the show pretty frequently as well. I really enjoy how he simply takes care of the situation instead of how most people react with firearms on tv shows by staring blankly at the bad guy then as the car speeds away they shoot randomly at the vehicle....Man does that get old!!!

The wife picks up the revolver (38?) , shoots him somewhere in the rear.

 

Bad guy spins and faces wife, and a LEO finishes the job.

Clearly hear a rifle report, and when he is on the ground there is a blood pool around his head.

And the director forgot to bullet hole the glass.

I watched it last night and all my wife and I could say was that revolver guy should have just shot the perp. Never give up the element of surprise.

 

It did add more drama to have the perps daughter hit by the stray round and then have the perps wife put one in the perp but that's Hollywood, "Drama Queens".

My own fault for reading the whole thread.

 

I'm enjoying the show. It's also the first one where I've heard a 1911 referred to as a "1911". Granted, he said "Colt .45 1911", but it's an improvement.

When I watched the episode and saw that the first thing I thought was the ccw holder should have just shot him. I think they showed how remorseless the villain was compared to the ccw person and how a parent will do anything to protect their child (mother). I didn't look too much into it. It's just a tv show.
