gleninjersey 2,141 Posted July 13, 2015 Anyone else heard of this story? Couple purchase home in Westfield and begin receiving creepy letters. Letters says the house has been "watched" by his family for generations, that it's turn to watch the house and that he'll be calling the children to him. Sounds like a disgusting prank or someones trying to get out of purchase or scare the new owners into selling for cheap. New owners moved out, are suing previous owners who allegedly had received similar letters and have listed home for sale but haven't been able sell because story about "The Watcher" is now national news. http://patch.com/new-jersey/westfield/dream-home-turned-nightmare-when-westifeld-home-buyers-recieved-distressing-letters-watcher Another article with a timeline of the house. Interesting the numerous sales for $1 but could.just be being passed down from generation to generation: http://www.nj.com/union/index.ssf/2015/06/25_years_of_the_westfield_watcher.html
ted527 21 Posted July 14, 2015 Heard it talked about on 101.5 a few times. Last time they reported the letter had female DNA on it.

jm1827 284 Posted July 14, 2015 I guess we can rule out Bill Clinton. Not necessarily, depending on whom he was with at the time...

Smokin .50 1,907 Posted July 15, 2015 I know all about the story. If it was my house, I'd clean my guns on a folding table on my front lawn while wearing several loaded sidearms. Such table would have a HUGE sign leaning up against it that simply states, "WATCH THIS!" When the Cops show up I'd clean their guns too.....and make coffee! The sight of those guns would put the soccer moms of Westfield into a frenzy. Last I heard the police were refusing to comment on this. Anything new? The brew guy 22 Posted July 19, 2015 Step 1, buy house. Step 2, create mystery. Step 3, sell movie rights. Step 4, pay off mortgage. The fact that it's Charles Addams' home town doesn't hurt. The List murders don't hurt. Etc.
PD2K 115 Posted July 19, 2015 owners should call Stephen King and sell the movie rights! I was thinking the same thing!
