Umm, snow on Friday?

Recommended Posts

Snow is a much better alternative to it's closest black comparison. Which would be nuclear fallout....just sayin' So hate on whitey snow all you want. I'll take it over the alternative.

lol, you haven't met my wife

Do you remember that black kid with the giant afro on Fat Albert? The one that could pull a basketball out of his afro? I found him in your wife. At first I thought there was an echo coming out of there. Your wife is like an extradimensional space...squared or something. :D

You're a cigar guy as well? Correct. Too high class for me

Bigtime cigar guy.

I can't do high class like that. I'm sitting on some Coors Light and Ellios pizza...

I've got Yuengling and Ramen

Winter Jack is way overrated. 15% ABV at jd prices?!

Evan Williams has a knockoff that is very similar for $9.

Really?  never heard of it - I'll have to check that out.

1 degree c per 1000 feet rule of thumb. Or is it 2.

Been awhile

3 deg F per 1000'

Rule of thumb

Precise Adiabatic Lapse Rate is more complicated to calculate. But I have yet to meet someone who bothered to go any further than a funky chart to figure it out.

A more interesting calculation is the inverse relationship between respiration rate and the amount of material used in a bikini in use on a woman under 30.

After 4am and pretty much the same here. Just a dusting in Budd Lake. I can still see the back window on my car. This is supposed to be the time it is ramping up so we shall see. I'll go grab a beer and wait for my pizza to heat up in the oven. :p

About 1-1/2 to 2 inches in Freehold area so far.

Closer to 1-1/2 than 2

On radar that boundary of freezing precip between snow and rain seems further north than predicted.

Some charts at NOAA and Flight service show a lot of snow coming in later as this Low moves north and winds turn west. But a bunch of weather forecasters show snow mostly ending by 3 or 4pm.

Hard to say for sure but we may get a lot less than predicted.

And I'd rather have snow than sleet and freezing rain because of those power issues deerpark mentioned.

I got a foot and it looks like it is gearing up. I don't know about 4 or 5 PM, it's supposed to go on into the evening and then get an inch overnight. But since they have all night to clean it up I'm hoping that works out. Sometimes it doesn't and we have maniacs riding snowmobiles up and down my road at 60 mph for a day or two when we get more than 2 feet. I don't know why it gets cleaned up sometimes and not others.

West of here looks worse. But here in Monmouth County, NJ it hasn't accumulated that much.

Yet.

East near the beach the estimates were a few to six inches. The closer you get to Mipafox....the more inches will be involved.

Seriously...thats exactly what they said. :-)
