kenw 293 Posted April 23, 2009 http://www.gunbroker.com/User/DealerNetwork.asp There's a list of FFLs on Gunbroker I don't know how accurate or current it is, but at least it's a place to start. Ken

Fishpaw 17 Posted April 24, 2009 Ive recently heard of some FFLs trying to collect the sales tax on a transfered weapon. As they are just doing the transfer and not the actual sale, they should not be doing this.

djg0770 481 Posted April 24, 2009 Welcome to NJ where we tax you coming and going. Yup, on the transfer and the NICS.
Maksim 1,504 Posted April 24, 2009 Tax on the Nics and Transfer fee as it is a service. Some stores I have heard even charge the sales tax on the price of the firearm purchased and transfered through them.

Cemeterys Gun Blob 165 Posted May 8, 2009 I'm surprised that some of these are so low..... Meltzer's in Garfield is $100 for new guns, that they can get. Or $50 for used guns, custom guns, or anything they can't get directly. No tax. Caso's Gun a Rama in Jersey City is the same deal as Meltzer's. Unsure of the tax though. Maksim 1,504 Posted May 8, 2009 That is why their prices are low.... they rape the guys who dont buy there and need FFL fees.
Cemeterys Gun Blob 165 Posted May 8, 2009 They're a few blocks off of Rt21. Before I started using them, I shopped around, but with traveling and such, they seemed comparable. If you're getting a custom gun, that they can't get, you need to specify this. Otherwise they'll want to hit you with the $100 fee. I was looking for a pair of Colt SAA's, they couldn't get 'em for me, but if I could find them else where, they would only charge me $50 since they couldn't find them. Are they on Rt46? djg0770 481 Posted May 8, 2009 That is why their prices are low.... they rape the guys who dont buy there and need FFL fees. The free market is in effect. Take your business elsewhere. It is EASY to find another guy within 20 minutes of their location who has the best prices around.

Caine 147 Posted May 13, 2009 Don't think I've seen Jim mentioned in this thread, so: Action Shooters Supply 267 Haledon Ave Haledon, NJ 07508 973-942-6464 $20 for transfers plus NICS fee + tax = $37. I've done a couple transfers thru him recently - no issues. He won't touch any AK stuff tho.
