  1. So I have been down in Florida for 2 weeks now. I am loving life, the beaches are fantastic and clean. The day after we arrived I went and applied for my concealed permit, took 20 minutes. Just read on the Fl website they are now expediting veteran's licenses, so hopefully I will get it shortly. Yesterday I went and bought a suppressor, NFA is currently about 5 months out. Welcome to America. I will miss the good friends that I have in NJ, but they are welcome to come down and visit.

    My first 1911

Glad you said first..... They become an addiction. When I move to the land of freedom it will be a 1911 that I carry. Enjoy shooting it. One of my favorite guns to shoot.
  3. I saw that yesterday on the Today show. I had to rewind and watch it again. I was waiting for them to say something negative.
  4. Looks good, and very easy to read and follow. Nice job, keep up the good work.
  5. Ty is that an LMT barrel, or did you have one made to fit? I am thinking of a 6.5x47 semi.
  6. Mine came today. They are in great shape. Some were covered in a light oil, others were dry but all were in great shape. Oiled ones are washed and are drying now.
  7. Thanks for posting. Just ordered a dozen.
  8. I will try and attend. Maybe we can draw up a list of counter points to what assuredly be an anti 2nd amendment night?
  9. Man that barrel was getting warm. Funny that he could not get that last tanerite container.
  10. I used to live in Hemlock Farms. I have 3 boys. There is crime and gangs everywhere, but I never knew how bad it was there. I loved the community and the area, used to drive to NYC everyday for work cause I wanted the kids to have a better life. Drugs were just the norm... I coached baseball and hockey and saw these kids all the time, he parents had no idea. Sad but I moved back here. If it was me and the wife I would still be there, or somewhere close. Again anywhere is going to have issues, but that was a big wake-up.
  11. <a href="http://s1380.photobucket.com/user/JimmyAGR/media/IMAG0101_zps4d358b27.jpg.html" target="_blank"> 6.5x47 Built by Robert Gradous. Fantastic rifle, crappy pic. First 2 five round groups under .4 and I suck at group shooting.
  12. Something like this is what you want. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Raco-RETRO-BRACE-with-2-1-8-in-Deep-Ceiling-Box-937/203743172?cm_mmc=Shopping%7cG%7cBase%7cPLA%7cD27E%7cElectrical&gclid=CIjRi_rj08MCFYklgQodPJgA7g&gclsrc=aw.ds Need to balance the weight out so it doesn't wobble.
  13. Fluting is supposed to keep the action cycling as the dirt and grime should not get into the action, but into the flutes.
  14. Sucks man, hope you get that job. Good luck.
  15. Oh look Paul has another beautiful gun Looking forward to hearing your range report.
  16. Very nice article, to much sense for people on the other side...
  17. When you say target do you mean just shooting paper or shooting tiny groups in paper. As far as a 1:9 twist, most barrels are now 1:7 and 1:8 and will eat 55gr projectiles all day and also allow you to shoot 69-77gr also. http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/BCM-14-5-Mid-Length-Upper-KMR-KeyMod-p/bcm-urg-mid-14bfh-kmr13.htm here is a standard barrel, 14.5 inch and you can choose your break and have it installed. It also come with the BCG free There are many more styles listed there, you can even get a stainless barrel if you are looking to shoot smaller groups.... The list goes on
  18. Be vigilant. Stay safe. Go home to your families. Prayers are with you guys.
  19. You have a tough thankless job. There are so many people that want to see you fail. That is what they thrive on, ie: Sharpton and the other race baiters... My nephew is a NYC cop, luckily he was at the range with me when this happened. i pray for his safety every night. What I found funny in today's update on CNN De Blasio's backers say "Others have said that de Blasio should not be scapegoated -- that the gunman is solely responsible for this weekend's bloodshed." Funny how they don't say that when some goes into a theater or school, then it's the guns fault, not the shooter.
  20. That's where he gets the pictures, right Paul
