anyone know where this lawsuit is,  did it even start yet.   thanks

I believe on a recent GFH podcast iirc was mentioned that he just got his ccw. Whether thru the suit or the new regs I don't remember.

Jay Factor is truly one of the good guys among NJ gun owners. He is a text book on constitutional and NJ law and has taken it upon himself to help others with the carry permit process. He seems to only communicate on woke Facebook (that I refuse to participate on) but his efforts should be appreciate by everyone here.

According to Facebook there is no group titled: NJ Firearms Owners Syndicate. Is it under another name or are they just screwing with their own search results?

Firearm - not firearms - that may be why.

My mistake- it was Mark Cheesemen getting his ccw not Jay. My apologies to Jay :B:):

Thanks that worked. Hard to believe an s at the end of one word would drop the group from a search result. Then again not so hard to believe.

I hope Jay succeeds.

However I do think that his lawsuit will be mooted, and the legislature will resolve his complaint through legislation. I have a friend who is a retired superior court judge. She is being asked to go on recall but the problem is she’s taking care of her terminally ill husband and the recall pays a daily wage of peanuts.

The courts are begging for judges but just can’t get them. The regular caseload is heavy and on top of that they have to sign our carry permits. Particularly with evictions and the increasing crime rate.

So make no mistake the courts don’t want this. They would be more than happy to have this done outside of the judicial process.

AG Platkin already said this is going in FARS and hopefully when that happens the legislature will just remove the requirement for a judge to sign off, because there is no more justifiable need. The flip side is they may try to jam something else with this to “improve” concealed carry like New York did and totally screw it up.

But if Jay can succeed, I’m happy for that too.

AFAIK, Mr Factor has yet to receive his carry permit. Jay is a brave individual that has gone up against the liberal socialist machine that given the chance would deny us our Constitutional and God given right of self defense. Jay has stirred the pot and ruffled the feathers of the NJ political elite and apparently they are doing everything possible to slow down the process of Jay receiving his CCW permit. Maybe a large enough red wave next week will help his message.

There has been an update posted, but without particulars. It seems Mr. Factor, with the assistance of attorney Mr. David Jensen, was granted his PTC. This may positively affect other PTC holders as well, but other information isn't currently available, which may be intentional (for now). It's nice to be on the other end of death by 1000 cuts.

  • Thanks 1
