What powders to go with for 9mm and 45.

So ordered some primers... that means now going to reload.

 

anyone have any suggestions for what powders?

 

Right now going to be reloading mostly 9mm and 45gap.

 

will get into reloading rifle in the future, would love to reload 223 and 7.62x54r.

 

other oddball calibers may be 357 sig.

I use Win 231 for 9mm and 45 ACP. There is data for it in 45GAP as well.

I use Unique successfully for the 9mm but don't have a 45 Gap.

I use 4.5 grains of Bullseye for both the 45 cal and 9mm. Works like a champ..........

I use Unique for my 45 loads (6.7 grains behind a Barry's 200 grain FP using CCI LP primers. works well in all my 45's.

 

I also use in in my 38 Special and used in sucessfully in 40S&W until I switched to Power Pistol.

I 've been using HP38 which is Win 231. I'm also using True Blue which meters very well.

AA #2, power pistol, red dot, and so on. you are going to have to see what is in stock and go from their.

When you find the power, get a four pound jug. The one pound jugs don't last long.

If you just want to keep it to one powder use Unique. I use it for everything from .380 to .45

The name pretty much says it for that powder. Plus there is less chance for a mistake when there's only one jug. It could never be mistaken for my rifle powders so there isn't a problem.

 

Now if I could find primers...

i use red dot for loading .32 s+w , .32acp , 9mm , .38super , .38 s+w , .38 special , .45acp , 12ga , + lead bullet reduced loads in 30/30 , .308 , + 30/06 -

I only load 9mm and .40 S&W so far and I have been using 231 and Bullseye with good success. Only have about 1,500 primers left so I am going to be on the hunt pretty soon.
