wow... haven't heard that track in a loooong time. maybe i'll dig that out this evening.

 

defintely a 'classic'.

Caught Hackers on tv the other day and have been going thru the soundtrack this week

What the F, Caine. Are you my long lost far older twin? :lol: I was a huge Orbital fan years ago... like, had that track on repeat-- for hours. I still dig how it was the ending/credits song for the original 'Mortal Kombat' movie. I seriously know of maybe three (now five) people who know of that song.

ETA: My mornings are usually assorted Vitamin String Quartet tracks... helps me ease into my mornings.

Hey now! I'm not that old! :p Interestingly enough tho, most of the people I know in my age group know that song pretty well.. so maybe I am getting old :lol:

Is the podcast any good? I watch PDTV, and while I find him mildly annoying at times.. the tv show isn't too bad.

 

it's one of the few gun-related podcasts i don't find terribly annoying.

 

i'll also listen to the proarms podcast, james yeager's podcasts and radio free arfcom.

Ha, you're no old man, Caine-- I'm just that young is all :shifty:

Listening to my buddies mixes. He did some gigs in NYC, and has been in Barca for the past few years as a resident DJ at some clubs there (still there). I could imagine most of you guys wouldn't care for his mixes, ha, but its pretty cool to see an old friend making some waves. DJ Past/Chazz Rockwell.

Found one from Dec. 09 in Barcelona (if the file name is correct) - it's a little "housier" than I like, but not bad.

Hate to disappoint you, but I'm really not. That particular song tho.. I dunno.. it's just a good song. Carrie Underwood is about as country as I normally get.

anyways, there is a band im really into lately (for the last few years). grace potter and the nocturnals. any music fan should check it out. especially if you are into classic rock or stuff like the black crowes, gov't mule,

George Strait is really popular in the country community, almost as much as Hank Jr. is, but Hank is southern rock sounding more than George Strait.

 

agreed, but neither of them are new country. its all semantics anyways. to me, there is music i like, and music i dont. i dont care if its pantera, brad paisley, rancid or the beatles. if its good, its good

      Getting a non-threaded barrel is easy.  I'd definitely consider it as having a form of a shroud for #3.  The question is does it actually violate #1?  If so is there another chassis option that does not have mag holder VFG?

      So, as I interpret things, you get a hit on #1. It says nothing about feeding from said magazine, just that the magazine attaches to the pistol outside of the pistol grip. And it is attached. Was this what was considered when it was written? 100% no. However, this is NJ and I don't think they would give you an inch when as written it covers it in plain english.  #2 would be a hard yes if you put a threaded barrel on your setup, so I'd not do that.  #3... well it's not a shroud, but it does allow you to hold the firearm with the nontrigger hand without being burned. Shroud is ill defined, and it could be argued to partially enshroud the barrel from the bottom. I would bet cash money that the AG would gladly say that second part there is to clarify the intent of the law and that since you can do that, you violated the stated intent of the law.

      I don't know why we ( NJ gun organizations ) have not yet filed a lawsuit on "duty to inform"  A clear violation of the constitution 5th and probably 4th.  Maybe this guys lawyer will and get that charge dropped.  what other right do you need to inform a law enforcement officer of.    are you required to identify as a republican or democrat during an encounter, and by the way,  what constitutes an encounter.  voluntary? involuntary?   time to get this one knocked down. come on ANJRPC stop waiting for court decisions and go on the attack.

      Right, each location will have a different set of Repeater frequencies you can use in your area.  You could also just have 2 sets of CHIRP files ready to go and make sure you have the ability to program them quickly in a SHTF situation.  Maybe dedicate at least one radio for each location with specific programming, and then when you get there you can re-program the radios you take with you with the programming specific to that location.   More expensive radios have the ability to program them via your phone app and BT connection.
