Krdshrk 3,878 Posted July 27, 2011 So I am most likely going to be getting a Ruger LCP in the near future (pending PPs of course). Does anyone here have one I can try out? Any feedback as well? Alternate guns?
AntZ 1 Posted July 27, 2011 P238 a better alternate

PK90 3,573 Posted July 27, 2011 You can shoot mine.
hd2000fxdl 422 Posted July 27, 2011 Don't have a LCP but I do have the S&W BG380, I was originally looking at the LCP but after holding both and looking at the sights and shooting them I went with the BG380. Just another option to check out, and if you want to shoot my BG380 we can work that out. Harry
Krdshrk 3,878 Posted July 27, 2011 Ooh I actually like the look of the BG380. You free Sunday at all, Harry?
hd2000fxdl 422 Posted July 27, 2011 At this time I should be free Sunday or at least be able to get aways for a little while. what time of the day were you thinking? Harry
Krdshrk 3,878 Posted July 27, 2011 Anytime sunday. The GF will be out of town so I'm 100% free.
hd2000fxdl 422 Posted July 27, 2011 Ok, will talk more later in the week and set up a time and place. Harry
Krdshrk 3,878 Posted July 27, 2011 Thanks, Harry. BG380 is a great suggestion - I find myself liking it more and more the more I research
david8613 69 Posted July 27, 2011 krdshrk i should be picking up my lcp this week as soon as my exemptions reach my pd, when i get it ill let you know when i head to the range... you know what? since your are looking into small pocket guns, you should see if anyone on these boards has a micro desert eagle, i shot one side by side with an lcp and i liked it alot! i only went with the lcp because its lighter for pocket pistol, not that it matters in nj... lol! Let us know when you pick it up, if you get it before Sunday and are able and willing to meet up and Nick doesn't mind taking a ride to Shore Shot I could always meet down there and then he would have a chance to shoot both. hd2000fxdl 422 Posted July 27, 2011 Is OBRPC gonna be in use on sunday? heh The indoor range is in use all day, they are having a youth class at the range all day from what I see on the calender, however nothing listed for the outdoor range. NJJim 37 Posted July 27, 2011 Hi, The Sig P238 is a dream to shoot!!! Zero malfunctions ever! A well made very good looking gun. Here is mine.
bry@n 195 Posted July 27, 2011 I like the LCP also. As far as the 238 goes, I am not sure I would choose it over the lcp. for one, the 238 has had so many issues with it, from recoil springs, to recalls from sig etc...that I would stay clear of. This is my personal opinion. There are many that have said they have had zero issues but that many and more have said they had isues. Not knocking it, just saying my opinion and I love sigs, including the 238. I just wouldn't carry one.
Col. Mortimer 11 Posted July 27, 2011 Right now I'm looking at an LC9 but my friend is talking me into an LCP also. Is there anyway to have this party at Cherry Ridge? Bring your pocket gun to the 2x4 match on the 13th of August?
reed338 11 Posted July 30, 2011 I dont have a lcp but i have a lcr you are more than welcome to try out .Bob
Tosser 61 Posted July 30, 2011 LCPs Rock. Always work. surprisingly accurate with the lack of sites. Just remember what the purpose of the gun is.
Ray Ray 3,566 Posted July 31, 2011 LCR 38 special +P or S&W Bodyguard 38 special +P
bry@n 195 Posted July 31, 2011 I had the chance to hold the lc9 yesterday and it was nice. If I was in the market for a pocket gun, I think it would be hard to pass up. The safety everybody mentions is very pronounced and I can't see it activating by itself.
Krdshrk 3,878 Posted July 31, 2011 Tried Harry's S&W BG380. I like it! I'm leaning heavily towards this compared to the LCP/LC9 because of the issues I've heard of with the LCP/LC9....
