So far this year I've added a Taurus 1911 in .45 and the Glock 23 in .40 I just picked up from Ira. Took my XDM .40 and the new Glock out to Heritage Guild in Easton and cycled two boxes each of Federal through them. Flawless and accurate as balls.

Thanks! Conrad at Gungrips.net made them for me. Easy to work with, fast turnaround and the grips are Hogue aluminums.

Downside? Keeping them clean!

Then consider my balls chopped off because in 30 days I pick up my range officer. One nut back but then most likely picking up a RIA 1911 in 9mm. Ball less again. I'm ok with that. Maybe other .22 1911 owners will get my back( Harry, Jon)

That's ok..I can take the jokes. I felt that way for a while too but I love the platform so much I want to use it for other stuff. So I can use 22 for OBRAMS and 9 mm for steel. Keeps costs down so I can buy more guns...lol

I don't mind a 1911 in 22, they are good trainers for their big brothers. And I don't mind 1911s in 9mm or 40S&W, as long as they are the shorter-frame or shorter-grip version. But if your buying a full size 1911, man up and get it in 45acp.

I only do full size 1911. Why get anything smaller. It's not like I am going to CC it any time soon. Maybe when I retire.
