NJScott 15 Posted September 19, 2012 Just checked out the revised BPD page for the ABC/permits division and see they are no longer accepting handwritten FID or PP forms. I don't know the legality of this change and was wondering if any other PD's have this requirement? While I won't have a problem dealing with it, I shouldn't have to deal with it. For those applicants without PC's (and I'm sure there are a handful of them out there), it is just another obstacle put in their way, IMO. Jamie6607 0 Posted September 19, 2012 I just did my application for FID in Jersey City and I was required to type out the NJSP form as well, no hand written forms would be accepted. The packet included the FID application, mental health form, and the consent forms. Strangely, although I had a typed out FID form, Det Donaway told me to fill out the copied FID form anyway. The detective that does firearms here told me it was to make sure he could read and understand everything I wrote down. I told him my handwriting is good and he told me thats fine then.
