WVisHome 0 Posted January 22, 2013 if you have a Android phone download Scanner Radio there is a free version and you can listen to the events unfolding on North Harris County Law Enforcement Excellent idea. I don't understand the urgency on getting police escorts for the victims sent to the hospital.
voyager9 3,441 Posted January 22, 2013 I overheard the TV here at work.. not sure what channel.. but they mentioned unsubstantiated reports that it may be gang-related. Take with an iceberg-sized grain of salt.

YankeeFan 49 Posted January 22, 2013 CNN was reporting that this appears to be a beef between two parties. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that this probably gang-related...this "college" is a 2-yr community college that is located near the Houston airport....so you know what kind of crowd it will attract...
YankeeFan 49 Posted January 22, 2013 Comments on the Harris County Sheriff facebook page say it's gang-related. Watch the media ignore this fact. I'm sure those involved were legal gun owners....
NJCK 5 Posted January 22, 2013 Latest I heard from Houston co-workers is that an argument between two armed individuals. One armed and wounded in custody, another bystander wounded, other armed individual at-large.

YankeeFan 49 Posted January 22, 2013 I'm about to slap one of my liberal co-workers going on about how we need to ban guns.....the amount of stupidity in this country never ceases to amaze me.
PeteF 1,044 Posted January 22, 2013 And in other news lots of people have been injured/killed and no guns were found at the scene. Leave it to "rag reporting". Anything to further the agenda.
CAPTBIL3 10 Posted January 22, 2013 I love it , just turned on fox news, they have a taped interview from the scene, in the backround a guy just standing there throws up some fast gang signs, only lasted a few seconds, what Sh*t Bags.
YankeeFan 49 Posted January 22, 2013 CNN just reported that the shooting happened in Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee's district.... 'nuff said.

WVisHome 0 Posted January 22, 2013 Do we really need that?? Seriously.... I'm SOOOO effing sick of that retort. The people who say that don't like to be asked if they "need" their 200hp car, or if they "need" a smartphone. (I know you were being facetious Pizza Bob.) NJCK 5 Posted January 22, 2013 Local news has picked up the story and NBC10 added dramatic embellishment "gun fire at a Houston college left hundreds of students fleeing for their lives." UGH!
Krdshrk 3,878 Posted January 22, 2013 I love the people they were interviewing. One had a big red t-shirt that says "COKE - Adds life" (not coca cola.....)
Zell959 40 Posted January 22, 2013 To those that feel like 'wtf is going on' with the increasing reports of "school shootings", take note of how quick the mainstream news is to label incidents like this as such. They're LOOKING for these headlines and will slap that label onto common gang violence and other kinds of incidents that are not happening at an above average rate, but ARE getting more coverage than they normally would of just because it enables the news to grab viewers by reporting that there has been 'another school shooting'. We saw a similar effect with the number of "zombie like" acts of violence reported immediately after the incident on the bridge in FL. In reality, none of the subsequent attacks had much at all in common with that one particularly horrible incident, but the news was so desperate to keep their claws in the viewers that they honestly tried to manufactur the appearance of a significant increase in zombie/canabalistic attacks.
