djg0770 481 Posted March 26, 2013 $49.99 for 525 rd bulk pack. Has it really come to this?
moseknows 0 Posted March 26, 2013 Yeah pretty sad. I did watch it go from 26 boxes in stock to 12 in about 45 seconds.
MicroMag 0 Posted March 26, 2013 Sold out. It's sad but that's the best deal I've seen in weeks, for high velocity .22. Bulk pack too, Cabela's had Minimags for $8.99 earlier today, but a limit of 1 box made it not even worth ordering.
RubberBullets 65 Posted March 26, 2013 As long as you can backup the asking price with "These items are going on gun broker for $ X" its legit. /sarcasm And for you people buying at these prices.. you get what you deserve.
Tack Tickle 0 Posted March 26, 2013 It has come to that!!! I was at Dicks the other day and asked the usual. Any 22? He says, "actually we have a bunch". I almost fell over. They had federal 500 bulk pack and it was $ 50 freaking dollars. He laughed, I didn't. Needless to say, it seems like it's getting worse out there. Hopefully the manufacturers won't start selling on gunbroker, haha. We'll all be screwed.
MicroMag 0 Posted March 26, 2013 Here's a better deal for Remington: http://www.cabelas.com/product/Shooting/Ammunition/Rifle-Ammunition%7C/pc/104792580/c/104691780/sc/104532480/Remingtonreg-22-LR-Rimfire-Ammunition/734676.uts?destination=/catalog/browse/shooting-ammunition-rifle-ammunition/_/N-1100190/Ns-CATEGORY_SEQ_104532480?recordsPerPage=99999&avad=74383_c4012425&WT.mc_id=al56335&rid=12&WT.tsrc=AFF

Howard 538 Posted March 26, 2013 Thanks its been a while since I have actually seen some .22LR, not a bad price either. Wish you could get more than one box, but one is much better than the zero I have been coming up with lately.
PK90 3,573 Posted March 26, 2013 I just ordered some. Needed some other personal stuff, so total shipping only added $1 to it.
Tack Tickle 0 Posted March 26, 2013 When would you think cabelas would say ONE box maximum. We've hit the ammo fiscal cliff. We need to mandate some higher maximum purchases or sequester cabelas to allow more quantity... In all seriousness, still not a bad deal after the $5 shipping! MarkWVU02 47 Posted March 26, 2013 Good post. Grabbed a box. Can't believe .22 is so hard to get.
Howard 538 Posted March 26, 2013 Good post. Grabbed a box. Can't believe .22 is so hard to get. The bigger question is WHY is .22LR so hard to come by? It is not used by LEO or DHS or anything like that, so why has it all of a sudden become the single most difficult ammo to find?

The only thing I can think of is people don't want to shoot their handgun or rifle ammo, but still want to go to the range and practice and or plink, so people are grabbing up as much .22lr as they can get their hands on. I haven't seen any but the #12 birdshot in stores.
