Ammo or another gun?

Okay brothers, how do you solve the age old problem- every time I buy ammo, sets me back in savings for another gun. More ammo or more guns?

Ammo is not cheap right not, but it is available. If you want to stock up, don't. If you need to replace a case, go ahead.

Depends on the situation.

 

If you're getting a new gun in a new caliber, I'd buy some ammo first, then the gun, then lots of more ammo.

 

If you're getting a gun that you already have a good amount of ammo for, or you have other guns in that caliber, then gun.

Get the gun. If your hurting for cash/ammo bad enough you can unload a gun for reasonable amount of your initial investment

or you could build a gun (cheaper that way) and sell it to used the profit to buy ammo.  then take your initial amount used and build another one and bamm, ammo and a gun

I'm not going to assume ammo will ever be cheaper.... Which is why I went to reloading... Cost and availability...

Buy the gun, buy a few boxes of ammo to have fun with it, when you can get more money together for ammo, buy quantity then.

Projectiles and primers are plentiful.. Powder is still a little spotty.

My plans for 2014:

Buy myself an M&P 9mm Compact for an after Christmas present and snap caps. Buy 500-1000 rounds of ammo. Get a range membership. Start looking into reloading.

I've got a small one from Dicks that'll keep anyone from messing with them. However I own one handgun right now. I plan on buying one of those large - not easy to steal - ones that fasten to the studs in the house.
