Barms 98 Posted April 18, 2014 This would be $28 picked up at local store. 37 inches http://www.walmart.com/ip/Allen-Company-Standard-Grade-Tactical-Case-in-Black/15206133 Or the lucky gunner. It's $15 but shipping is plus $14 http://www.slickguns.com/product/36-inch-blackhawk-sportster-modular-weapon-case-sale-1799 FYI none of those pouches come with it. I wish I knew if either of these has a sling.
JT Custom Guns 958 Posted April 18, 2014 The Blackhawk is the better case, but they get ya with the price of all the extra pouches...............
vjf915 456 Posted April 18, 2014 Midway USA has cases like the first one you listed. I have two of them, and I'm quite satisfied with the quality. I don't remember the length, maybe 42"? However they do also come with a sling for the case, a carrying handle, and 5 mag pouches on the side. I remember I got mine for about $18 each. I would highly recommend their cases, Midway USA has great bang for the buck cases. Looked them up. A black 42" case is $17. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/939239907/midwayusa-tactical-rifle-case-with-6-pockets?cm_vc=ProductFinding
Vini 0 Posted April 18, 2014 I have Blackhawk - good case. Discrete. Holds 2 scoped AKs or ARs. Get two of them, you will need it later. Or sell one. Getting $25-$30 shouldn't be a problem.
Barms 98 Posted April 18, 2014 I'm only interested in 36 or 37" That's been my mission.
fatty 241 Posted April 18, 2014 I just got a 36" blackhawk sportster from grabagun for about $30 shipped. Fits my 14.5 bcm middy like a glove!

SmartAss 11 Posted April 18, 2014 I have a few cases from AceCase.com that are built well and not too expensive. They have a thick strap loop at the muzzle end that I hook a carabiner clip to so I can hang it upright. Most of the loops on other cases wear out and break over time. I received one yesterday that had one carry handle larger than the other. My opinion of them may change depending on how they handle this (no reply to my email to them yet). deerpark 83 Posted April 26, 2014 Go with # 2. Simply because the Walmart one is called an "assault rifle" case. F YOU!
Maksim 1,504 Posted April 27, 2014 Who cares... Assault rifles are awesome. =P Besides, Walmart actually carries gun stuff. woot woot, when Target... who started out as gun friendly left. In any case, I would also look at this deal on Aim Surplus. http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?groupid=851&name=BLACKHAWK+42"+Sportster+Tactical+Rifle+Case

I found a 36" Allen on Amazon real cheap. My only regret might be that going low end it doesn't have tie downs inside it. I will have to cognizant of my optic sloshing around.
