Thanks You can probably pick up some heavy duty garbage bags, lime and a shovel at your local hardware, but I'm at a loss as to how to deal with the smell. Malsua 1,422 Posted August 27, 2014 well played lol To answer your question better, anywhere that sells paint can usually supply you with breathing and filtering solutions from cheap to full face.
djg0770 481 Posted August 27, 2014 with or without eye protection? I have two of these - http://www.tooldex.com/ao-safety-50445-00000-ao-5-star-air-purifying-respirators-69824.html?gclid=CjwKEAjwg_afBRD3rpChlqiKt1ESJACwY6NkZlmDZiXX064TRwQYhCgBGH8GEz9i89FXUuHs2LdFMBoCn1Lw_wcB They've been effective at many things, dust and VOCs. In fact I need to replace the cartridges at this point.
vmastro87 0 Posted August 27, 2014 I'm looking for with eye protection, the ones that cover your whole face
Malsua 1,422 Posted August 27, 2014 Do you have a Sherwin Williams store locally or Benjamin Moore? They sell full face masks will filter out some nasty paint fumes, so I figure it should filter out several months accumulation of post processed Burritos and frozen dinners. T Bill 649 Posted August 27, 2014 www.afpnj.com under equipment, full face respirators. Remember different elements for each type of hazard. LOL
mustang69 505 Posted August 27, 2014 Home Depot and Harbor Freight both have them...
mipafox 438 Posted August 27, 2014 Pine Environmental will drop it off free but you need to open an account (5 minutes). McMaster Carr ships next day delivery. Why full face? Need eye protection or increased protection factor?
magnawing 5 Posted August 27, 2014 If you want to borrow one, I have one. You'll need to pick up filter cartridges for it. I won't be home from CA until Friday though.
H.M. Murdock 0 Posted August 27, 2014 Grainger Also before you do any work, "certify" yourself by putting on the respirator for a few minutes, get your heart rate up, make sure you can still breath properly and are able to remove the mask in a panic. Would suck to pass out in one when you're by yourself. Try to find someone with a smoke test kit

What "certification" would this be?

It's a quote unquote self certification as in make reasonably sure you're not going to die in the damned thing by performing a couple cursory tests that comprise the bulk of the real OSHA test

Shocker 151 Posted August 28, 2014 I have one you could borrow also but you'd have to get it before I go on vacation. I have a few GME-P100 combo cartridges but they're old (unused but old...not sure if they expire)
