this_is_nascar 162 Posted November 12, 2014 Does anyone have any experience with a .410 bore shotgun? If so, what do you have and how do you like it?

fishnut 2,358 Posted November 13, 2014 I have a savage .22/410 combo gun. its fun once in a while but the ammo is pretty expensive compared to 12g. Not as much demand so its not made in the quantity's that 12g is. or that's what I have been told anyway. a few times members here have brought 410s out to the monthly shotgun shoot. djg0770 481 Posted November 13, 2014 Sears 410 pump and a Kassnar import of a Korean single shot break open. The Kassnar import trigger SUX.
DirtyDigz 1,812 Posted November 13, 2014 I have a single barrel break action. Works fine, recoil is like a gnat fart. .410 ammo is EXPENSIVE though. Price some out and compare it to 12/20 gauge.
this_is_nascar 162 Posted November 13, 2014 Thanks everyone. I think I've put aside any thoughts I may of had pursuing a .410 SG. Thanks for your feedback.

And we didn't mention the Judges, Governors, and all of the other revolvers chambered for .45/.
jm1827 284 Posted November 14, 2014 With all this talk about .410's, now I want one too!
Candyman87 10 Posted November 14, 2014 Good point. And we didn't mention the Judges, Governors, and all of the other revolvers chambered for .45/.410My buddy got a Judge a couple weeks ago. The .45 LC is fun but the .410 slugs elicit giggles from grown men.
maintenanceguy 510 Posted November 14, 2014 My buddy got a Judge a couple weeks ago. The .45 LC is fun but the .410 slugs elicit giggles from grown men. So True! Ridiculous, silly spork of a gun with no real usefulness. I love mine! To answer the OP's question: I have an H&R Topper single shot breach break in .410. Nice little gun and appropriate for small game. I can kill a rabbit just as good as with something bigger and I can find the whole rabbit when I'm done. JT Custom Guns 958 Posted November 20, 2014 Mossberg HS-410 is a nice shotgun, I have one but my favorite is my Winchester 9410 (lever)
