I am having a hard time separating 80s movies that I like and 80s movies that are "unheard" of. If you haven't seen it, watch "The Lighthorsemen", I think you can find the whole movie on YouTube. Very much in a similar vein as Gallipoli and Breaker Morant. Hmmm... I will check that out, thanks! Anyone remember Smooth Talk...? I remember the movie and the leads well, but I had to look up the title just now. I don't remember it being any kind of big box office hit, which I think was unfortunate. I've seen it a few times over the years. It starred a very young Laura Dern and Treat Williams. It's kind of a light, romantic movie that takes a dark, sinister turn. Great performances. Dern was a-ma-zing! Another good one: House of Games. Anyone remember that? One of my favorite films... and the first film directed by playwright David Mamet. It's about a con man (played by the very sexy Joe Mantegna, better known today for his role on "Criminal Minds"). A really well-done psychological thriller. Malsua 1,422 Posted June 13, 2017 There are a lot of good movies listed, some obscure, some wildly popular. A couple oddballs I remember... My Science Project Terrorvision For pure humor "Blood Beach" Of course, I also first saw "Two Lane Blacktop" in the 80s since you could rent VHS tapes even though it was a 70s film. It's one of my favorite racing movies. I used to build and race cars and to have a sleeper light that, in the 70s that ran "well into the 10s" was a distant fantasy as I wrenched on my small block Fox body.

Zouave 13 Posted June 14, 2017 Not sure this qualifies for "no one heard of" but definitely an 80's movie... They Live. Stop me if you've heard this line before.
