The range upgrades are progressing and are mostly going to schedule. PSE&G have signed off on the upgraded gas supply, the engineers and town have signed off on the structural steel and the roof should be going on soon. The estimate is the range will be back in action mid March. I also spoke with Paul about the returning target system and it sounds like its going to be pretty cool. Not only will the targets travel back and forth, but will also turn edge on. The system will be programmable so I'll be able to use it for IDPA stages too with moving targets and disappearing targets.

Keep in mind the frame or receiver, the serialized part, is the firearm. If you have your guns completely disassembled it makes no difference if they aren't being properly transported. NJ gestapo? Have the police hurt your feelings in the past? Try dealing with police in your favorite socialist country.

or don't even bother wasting your time calling, just go online and open an account to see the online calculator. the SSA reps are going to supply the same numbers as to what's posted on the account page. You could have an account regardless if you are ready to collect or not https://www.ssa.gov/onlineservices/

I think there is some Tin Foil hat with this. As a LEO most classes I have taken most students are civilians, with the exception of a very few LE only classes. Most cops won't/don't want to spend money on Firearms classes for a variety of reasons.

Now, if we could only clone this for the NFL... NBA... NHL... Academy Awards... Golden Globes... etc. - people could actually enjoy their entertainment again! Wouldn't that be nice?

I am in the State pension and social security since age 62. The State pension does not affect social security benefits. Until you reach full retirement age social security does limit the income allowed and does take $1 out of every $2 earned. When you reach full retirement that no longer applies. If you retire and are separated from employment for 180 days, you can work another state pension job but not over 32 hours a week in most cases.

The ventilation is being completely replaced with an up to spec design. It is also including effective heating - up to 30 degrees over ambient iirc which is the reason for the uprated gas supply.

Unless they've totally screwed the pooch since the last time I was there for an engineering and design update, ventilation will be massively improved, with a logical upgrade path to air conditioning as well.

Yes- some classes are “LE only” due to the nature of the TTPs being provided, but those are few and far between. The two most common reason for a LE Only/closed enrollment/restricted class are: 1) The location/range doesn’t allow non-sworn folks to shoot there due to insurance/Lease reasons. 2) The class is being hosted by and being paid for by a LE agency specifically for officers. Outside of the above two reasons, in every class I have ever been to - LE participants have been outnumbered by “regular earth people” (as Pat Rogers would say). Like Blksheep said - if instructors relied solely on cops for their livelihood, they would quickly go out of business. Far more non-cops spend their money on training than cops do. Don’t go looking for shit that isn’t there. It isn’t helpful.

I posted this in another thread but bares repeating here. Devils advocate: If you had been pulled over for speeding would you be ok with being charged with felony firearm possession for an inoperable shotgun? It is easy to criticize this deal because what this guy would go on to do. Hindsight is 2020. At the time I can see the logic even if I’m not sure I agree with it.
