Hey all. So we are about a year in from first getting our FID cards. Our current collection consists of the following: Sig P320X Compact RXP (9mm) Canik TP9SFX (9mm) Smith & Wesson 686-6 Plus (.357 Magnum) Kimber Custom LW Shadow Ghost (.45 acp) RIA Rock Series 1911 FS Matte Nickel (.45 acp) Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22 (.22LR) Stag Arms Stag 15 Tactical (5.56/.223) RIA AG Pump Action Shotgun (12ga) We are still looking into a nice Bolt-Action and/or possibly an AK variant. Something with some wood furniture would be nice.

There is no NJ statute that defines a knife by size. If you carry a knife every day you just need an explainable lawful purpose. There is no limit to what lawful purpose you use, so long is it is not self defense. My knife is used to open boxes frequently and there is tape residue on it which could be proof if it is ever challenged. Your knife has a seat belt cutting blade at the back of the handle - perfectly lawful in case of emergency.

The reason you have a knife is because its a tool, and thats ok. If you say its for protection than it becomes a weapon. NOT OK

Today I had to go to Home Depot. As I approached the entrance, I noticed a female driver looking for a parking space. I flagged the driver down and pointed out a handicap parking space that was open and available. The driver looked puzzled, rolled down her window and said, "I'm not handicapped!" Well, as you can imagine, my face was red! "Oh, I'm sorry," I said. "I saw your 'I'm Ridin with Biden' " bumper sticker and just assumed that you suffer from a mental disorder." She gave me the finger and screamed some nasty names at me. Boy! Some people just don't appreciate it when you're only trying to help them....

Good one. Any moron should have taken that off by now. I never see a biden flag anymore. I do pass a biden supporters house at 4:30 am on dialysis days. They took their flag down real fast. It just so happens I think I see a deer in front of their house every time I pass. I don't want to see that deer get hit, so I lay on my horn. Busy road and no other houses. LOL

Not a bad year. You need a .22 handgun.

Very nice, in my case, for Xmas I might be getting a S&W 686 and a Henry rifle (.357 magnum to share ammo with the S&W revolver)

I bet they'd get more turn-ins if they labeled the event as an "Evidence Disposal Festival with Cash Prizes - No Questions Asked"

I have seen this on Reddit! You can’t go wrong with an AK. Make sure it’s an import

Audio interview with Ruger President / CEO about their forthcoming Marlin offerings Marlin 1895 SBL (stainless big loop) in 45-70 and 444 Marlin to be first released in December. Then the 336 in 30/30. Followed by the 1894 in 44 or 357 magnum! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_AHFat3yqE

Broken windows was HIGHLY effective, no doubt about it! And so was an innovative program in Chicago a few years back that used a sophisticated program to map social connections in gangs, so that if there was a gang shooting - the police could proactively reach out to the victim's fellow gang members to try to prevent a retaliatory strike. What did these 2 programs have in common?... they were BOTH reducing crime... yet they came under fire from "activists" and thus politicians quickly backed away from them. Sadly, that's too often the case. As far as preaching to the choir, I hear you... I certainly know that most of the folks on here know stuff like this already! But, I still like to share this kind of article because I figure there are always some brand-new gun owners here who are coming in purely as hobbyists... and, they might not have too much grounding in topics like crime. And as we know, the media really sucks when it comes to sharing the realities of crime, DGUs, etc. Honestly, that described my own situation... I consider myself to be fairly well-read, but when I started to kick around the idea of gun ownership, I was actually very torn because I bought into a lot of the hype. It was post-Sandy Hook and gun owners were being framed as part of a bigger problem. I did a TON of research (geeky, I know!), and I was frankly STUNNED, for instance, to learn just how common DGUs are, or what a big percentage of crime is committed by ex-felons, etc. Hell, I even went to a range meeting long before I joined just to check out the crowd - I don't know WHAT the heck I was expecting, a bunch of guys wearing swastikas perhaps?! Imagine my surprise when the guy next to me was a mild-mannered PhD who worked in pharma research and the guy on the other side was very clean-cut LEO... and EVERYONE was so nice! I laugh now when I think about it... people I've met at ranges have been OVERWHELMINGLY kind, helpful, generous, etc. - not at all what I'd expected after a lifetime of exposure to the mainstream media's description of "gun nuts". Hey... you live, you learn.

How does UPS or FedEx deliver it? I’ve never seen one unlock the padlock around my package before putting it on my porch.
