Trying to stay on budget

Thing is, the light is a bit offset, and have stubby hands.

They actually fit pretty well and my thumb is set back right next to the light.

 

Once I catch up on everything and more ammo, will definitly explore it

 

BTW. THe LaRue clips are amazing. Solid and ergo perfect.

Added Surefire X300.

Swapped LMT fixed sights for Troy Flip sights.

Swapped out DD micro mount for ADM QD mount.

That barrel is from dez arms, they say it lightens and also helps to dissipate heat, I'm not an expert so I could not say but I liked the look...

The theoratical difference is two-fold: 1. Aids in dispersion of heat 2. Makes the barrel, thus rifle, lighter.

Results vary, though what I've heard from shooters with them and what I've read, the difference in 14.5-16" ARs chambered in 5.56 is minimal. There is a difference when the barrel is longer (18-20"), and/or if the rifle is chambered for the larger .308. Reason why barrel fluting/dimpling is more popular with semi-precision and precision systems.

Personally, I think it's a moot point with the average AR. Better and cheaper ways of saving weight. Also, with a rifle that is already only ~7lbs, I think the focus should be on balance instead.

I have to admit though, aesthetically it is quite pleasing

Here's the latest version. The only thing I'm going to add to this is a flip to side mount for the magnifier
