New to the site, little background this started when I was searching for how long a handgun permit should take to issue in NJ and well as they say the rest is history. Have carried a weapon since uncle sam provided one for my trip to sunny tropical vietnam and after getting out of the service I have been a fed LEO for close to 35 years soon to be retired..... Moved to NJ from Penna. as I work out of philly and wanted to raise the family in a better enviroment :). For those that think that the LEO's get prefential treatment on the permit process rest assured nothing could be further from the truth.... Gotta love NJ and its so called protection laws.... Take care and shoot straight.

Thanks one and all the more I sit and read the threads the more I start getting hot about the wait for the 2 pistol permits I am waiting for...... I have a nice.45 springfield XD on hold and one I am trying to narrow down......

No, actually moved over from philly about 22 years ago. Easy commute as I was assigned to center city, and the daughter was just born..... After retirement I would like to move as far away from the right and left coasts as possible.... :)
