PMC Bronze

I was out at Cabelas the other day and saw PMC Bronze at pretty good prices. I've never used it before so I picked up my AE which I typically shoot. Anyone here have any opinions on PMC ammo?

I am using it..... ZERO issues in my M&P 9mm

Great stuff, I've shot thousands of rounds in both 9mm and .45 without a single issue. Same with Fiocchi. PMC is supposedly a little "weak" especially in 9mm but again, no issues whatsoever.

it is great ammo at great prices.

 

What I like about it in the rifle lines.... the brass is good quality to reload, especially considering 223 brass is typically very thin and easy to rip out.

PMC is fun to shoot out of my glock 30, the short barrel, and PMC being loaded a little 'hot' makes for a nice muzzle flash...

I bought bulk from cabelas in 9mm, and I don't like it. It does not cycle the slide like AE, or S&B does. I also find it to be a little dirtier. I have not shot it in other calibers, just 9mm, so I could not say how it is in other guns.

Interesting. I only shot PMC bronze 9mm through my old CZ, and it cycled well. Now, the only PMC I have shot was 223, and did not have one hitch out of either the Vepr 223 or Sig 556.

Thanks for the conversation. The best thing to do is probably just try it myself and see how it fires. In the end, a person picks their ammo just like they choose their cleaning supplies! Whatever works best for them. :mrgreen:

I've shot PMC .45ACP and .223. Both shot fine and would use again.

I love PMC. I shoot it almost exclusively cuz it's always the cheapest brass around. Never had a single issue with it. I shoot it in 9mm and .223.

I`ve had 2 misfires from .223 PMC and they were from the same box. Since then no issues with it.

Got an AR coming in soon, i ll give it a go and see how it goes.

I've shoot about 500 rounds thru two ARs with no issues. Had another 1000 ronds delivered on Monday. Damn my wife hate when I get ammo delivered and she has to carry it in.

I've put 1000 trouble free .223 rounds through my AR.

 

Bought another 1000 at a great price.

I fire 1-2,000 rounds a month of the 9mm with no problems. I use it in a G26, M&P 9L, M&P 9c and a Kahr PM9. I also fire about 2-300 a month of their .380 in a Kahr P380 with no problems. The P380 can be finnicky, but I've never had a problem with the PMC.

 

A friend of mine gets the brass for reloading and is very satisfied with it.
